have you ever seen the socks with the pockets in them for little disposabl heating pads? Those things are great! Would share the cookies i made last night if anybody lived by me :)

The sporting goods stores sell those disposable heating thingies that are made to sliep into your gloves and socks for keeping your hands and toesies warm while outside. Me, I just use a heating pad or my slippers. If they get too bad, I'll go soak them in hot water and slip them straight into my sheepskin slippers. What cookies are ya craving, Angel? Awakened, I know what you mean about the um's. Mine are old enough though that I just have to deal with outlandish demands now. And keep repeating "No. No. No. No." [:D] eta to correct my pre-tea stupidty and missing words......sighs

sighs Good luck, awakened.... My monsters are 19, 18 and 15. The 19 yo will actually be turning 20 in 2 months. Enjoy them before they start asking for cars, TV's, computers, cell phones and who knows what else.... [8\|]

What cookies are ya craving, Angel? i've never seen those heating things for socks. the chemist carries the ones you slap on your back, arm, let, etc. but they're too expensive for day to day. sigh. my slippers don't fit with the socks and they're just as cold with just slippers. i need to get myself some sheepskin all-around-the-foot slippers when the mothers day sales are on, methinks. peanut butter bikkies actually. they don't do them here.

Hmmmm, ya can't find a good recipe and make some yourself? I remember one recipe from when I was little that was like a couple eggs, a cup of peanut butter and a cup sugar all mixed together and baked. And for the warmers, these are little ones that are only .50 cents or so, little packets that are 6-8 cm square that stay warm for some time, they claim for hours, that you slip in your socks or gloves. We use them a lot around here when we go hunting or fishing in cooler weather. Ahhhh, the joys of living in the boonies! [:D]

snorts Awakened, take a look at a map of Idaho and that entire south-west corner of Idaho is my county. There ain't nothing here but mountains, desert, sage brush, cattle, more mountains, a few (very few!) people, more cattle, and thats about it. When Lumus first found out about my county, he thought I was joking until he started looking at it. Then he was shocked. There's literally nothing here. I call it the Boonies for politeness sake, my dad calls it "bum-fuck Idaho"..... So it sounds like it could be related.... grins

Yep... cows-check, mountains-check (albeit the appaachians are smaller than the rockies)... different foliage, lakes instead of desert... but pretty much the same :) Oh, not to step on the cookie gods toes... but I got this e-mail with like a hundred cookie recipes if any of yous want it..
