Yes, one does become used to numerous lightning strikes in a really short period of time. The normal summer-time pattern of late afternoon thunderstorms is finally here, though no one was looking for the severity of what took place a couple of days ago. On that day during one half-hour period, over 3500 different lightning strikes were picked in a couple of neighboring counties by lightning detectors. The slow moving storm was directly over Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld (along with everything else in that area), so it was sort of a mad dash by the parks to get all of the guests under cover. Luckily, most of the strikes appeared to stay away from the parks that day, but it's not unusual to see them hit Cinderella's Castle from time to time. So, yeah... one does get used to the storms. That's not a good thing either, for one can become complacent and lazy with regards to the warnings.
