I have been better. From the looks of things, it appears that you and bear seem to have things well in hand around here.

[... thinking ...]

*snickergiggle* in hand ...heh heh heh

been better?  feelin ok? or just all around shitty week?  thats my excuse....lmao

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/13/2008 10:23:11 PM)

You might say it has been a shitty two or three weeks. I've just now recovered to the point of being able to coherently write after suffering two relapses of my syndrome over the past three weeks. With each relapse it seems that it takes longer for me to recover. I've been told that will be the case, despite my best efforts to make it not be so.

My good news is that my much missed laptop has been returned to me after a two month absence (I lent it out to a family member who's desktop bit the dust). This may not sound like much of a reason to celebrate but after the past couple of weeks, I'll take whatever reason I can get.

How's things going for you? I hope you've not suffered the same "crud" that seems to be going around.

LadyRainfire -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/13/2008 10:29:51 PM)

SAPPA!!!!  {{{hugs}}}

I'm glad to hear you got your laptop back, those are so nice to have. Hopefully things will look up for you.

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/13/2008 10:36:08 PM)

Thank you LadyRain. [... hugs ...]

And another one for your anxiety with the storms. [... hugs ...]

I see that you're still posting here... that you haven't run off... and from your posts I gather you're quite happy with life. Congrats to you and Lumus.

LadyRainfire -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/13/2008 10:41:22 PM)

[;)]  Yes, very happy. It's wonderful living with Lumus. Y'all get me tonight because Lumus is still at work, pulling an 18 1/2 hour shift so far. UGLY problems at work this week. He should be getting off soon.... (I hope...) Otherwise, we'd be in bed asleep by now.

The storm was something. It sounded like I was in the middle of a firing alley, the thunder was so loud at times. It was really incredible but maybe you're used to it being down in Lightening Alley Florida. [:)]

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/13/2008 10:55:39 PM)

Yes, one does become used to numerous lightning strikes in a really short period of time. The normal summer-time pattern of late afternoon thunderstorms is finally here, though no one was looking for the severity of what took place a couple of days ago. On that day during one half-hour period, over 3500 different lightning strikes were picked in a couple of neighboring counties by lightning detectors. The slow moving storm was directly over Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld (along with everything else in that area), so it was sort of a mad dash by the parks to get all of the guests under cover. Luckily, most of the strikes appeared to stay away from the parks that day, but it's not unusual to see them hit Cinderella's Castle from time to time.

So, yeah... one does get used to the storms. That's not a good thing either, for one can become complacent and lazy with regards to the warnings.
