Is this piece something for you personally or is it a commissioned work?

Well, friends, I need to retire, or I will never make it to work tomorrow.

Nighty night all!!!

bear,  hope you feel better!

beargonewild -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:22:47 PM)

Night trapped and naughty wet dreams to ya!

beargonewild -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:28:36 PM)

The dream catcher I'm making for myself and if it turns out good, I may use it for a birthday gift to my niece in a couple months.

It's the bear claw necklace I was asked to make.

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:34:01 PM)

That's cool.

Is the dream-catcher significant to any one nation or is it pretty all-encompassing?

beargonewild -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:41:10 PM)

As far as I know, dream catchers aren't traditional to one nation.

I have an inbuilt dream-catcher, and it needs to be cleaned out. Any one want some excess dreams?

good eve sappa !!!!!!
are they nightmares?

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:47:24 PM)

Only of the best sort... being chased... flying then crashing... getting caught up in vortices... but the worst ones have to do with drowning. I think that's because in the nightmares, it all seems so peaceful while drowning, which is kind of scary.

beargonewild -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:48:55 PM)

I've never delved deeply into the Native traditions as they have so much which is too involved for my liking. Some of the rituals I do use myself and the past few years I've been learning about energy work and just started to get into Celtic mythology and such.

Wolfandkitten -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:52:43 PM)

i used to have dreams of flying and levitation but i havnt had any like that in a while.....actually....what does it mean when you dont remember dreams most of the time?

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:54:05 PM)

I've been interested in the traditions of the Ojibwe as they are part of my family's lineage. Of all the cultures and nationalities that make up my heritage, I find the Ojibwe traditions to be the most interesting, if not to be the most elusive to learn about.

Wolfandkitten -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:55:15 PM)

i got three rituals....kitten, work, and weed....lmao

and i can barely find time for those.......i couldnt even begin to understand native american cultures or even celtic mythology

sappatoti -> RE: Arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh! (6/17/2008 8:57:50 PM)

Let's just say my real life isn't nearly as full as yours Wolfie, so I have a little bit of time to try and find out more about the Ojibwe.

:-)

Up on this area, it's mostly Algonquin, Metis, and Huron traditions I've been exposed to. My room mate is native and have learned a fair amount of the Algonquin traditions and participated in a few ceremonies over the past few years.
