Status: offline 		Why in the hell...would ANYONE....who wanted to break into a house....with all the houses in this community...decide to choose the MOST heavily armed home on the block...filled with more people trained to use them then they brought with them??? STUPID STUPID STUPID MEN...although it was fun after all the initial adrenaline calmed down.....

I mean really..ok...so the truth is it probably DID look like no one was home..and we do have a million power tools laying all over our porch, along with a nice outboard boat motor.....BUT...if they had looked around at the back yard...and seen the extra 7 vehicles in the yard..and realized that half the local military was here for dinner.....they probably would have driven a bit farther away.....

Status: offline 		ah, ghita, i cook, i clean, i can, i freeze, i wash, i iron, i bake, i'd love to learn power tools. but i'm not bisexual. and i don't know how to do make up or hair properly.

and i sew and quilt *nods* a skill that's very handy!

methinks you're just going to have to have 3-4 sub playmates wandering around

oh god you QUILT!?? Ive been trying for flipping YEARS to finish my very first attempt...I can sew clothing, I do medieval re-enactment garb and all sorts of other sewing and needlepoint, but I just havent mastered quilting yet..

We'll have to see how my meetings with my domly friend and with CD go before i can make any kind of committment, you realise? though, one or both may be vy intrigued with the bisexual bit. i don't think they've thought of tempting me with reeses, how like a woman to realise my weakest link!

Well...first they had a run-in with the rottweiller...whom by the way is LE trained, so is registered so I dont get sued if she attacks an intruder....which, in all honestly the dude should be thanking her with all his heart cause the only reason he didnt get shot is because no one wanted to hit the dog. Local LE (ie, my uncle the sherrifs deputy who lives two doors down, along with a few other deputy's who are friends of the soldiers eating dinner at my house) handled the situation.....

hello Bear!

and Ghita, yeah, took me 10 yrs to finish my first quilt, but i made several smaller ones in between (the first was a double bed size, and i was perfecting the art of the actual quilting when i made it). its a bit of a mind-set thing. once you've finished the first one, it's easier. and MUCH more fun when there's more than one quilting at a time. and a perfect way to use bits and pieces of favourite shirts or dresses or what have you, of the children. or even yourself. when i was really broke, i used to go to consignment shops and buy cotton dresses and use those. fabric over here is REALLY expensive. now i have boxes and crates of fabrics. i culled heavily and still have boxes and crates

Status: offline 		I started making two matching quilts for the babies a few years ago. I couldnt find matching bedding that I liked anywhere, so I thought Id just make my own. I did the sheets and the curtains and all the other thingymabobs in the room...and the quilt tops are actually both done...its the putting them together with the middle and the bottom that I havent figured out yet...
