I read your journal entry and I also see nothing too forward or gushing about it. 
For some reason, the only thing I can think of is your journal entry may make him feel anxious about what he perceives to be your high expectations for the meeting/relationship?
Teenager to Senior Citizen, the dance remains the same... Keep your cool for a while. Though you may be doing back handsprings in your mind,  don't let him see that until you are sure you can trust him with a small piece of your heart.

I wish that I could make my friends heart issues all better and make my other friends son stop having coma inducing seizures and make him stop not breathing until she gets there to bring him out. Yeah, I have had a great day. How has everyone elses day been?

Ask yourself this: is he also showing effort at changing that? Is he still pursuing you with the same interest? If the answer is yes, then he might be worth the wait. If not, cut bait. If unsure, wait a little it and he'll show his stripes.

Tetanus shots: hoo boy... not fun at all.

The odds: pretty much slim or none... and that's being optimistic. But take comfort in the fact that each jerk you meet increases the likelihood of meeting Someone Worthwhile next incrementally.

That explains why Keith is so amazing for me....I've met 8 jerks for every decent guy...I know about 5 decent guys from CM personally face to face.....that's 40 or so jerks....if one jerk is equal to a 10 on the increment scale Keith is a 400.....I'm I lucky girl.  (cause I just decided that 350 is the increment scale high number) *S*

speaking of blush...which I don't do often..... my patient's parents and I were talking about jobs we had as teens...and dad tells me this story of when he worked for a department store doing repricing and stuff at night...he and his work buddies would go to the lingere department and have a contest to see who could find the biggest bras.....I don't know why, but that made me REALLY embarrassed.....I kinda sank down in my chair...his wife cracked up and apparently I turned red as Santa's suit....he just looked at me and said "Donna...I'm more mature than that now" and both his wife and I cracked up....hum.  So, there you have it....a patient's dad talking about huge bras is what it takes to make me blush.
