I made it inside. Luckily for me, I've been walking around barefoot a lot while in FL, and the soles of my feet are pretty calloused. I managed to squish a few of the critters as I made my retreat.

he keeps jumping on visitors, they scream and flail, and he runs back to base

It states in the northern climes' building manager's handbook that building heat must be turned on by Columbus Day. ;)

DV, you must have trained many of them, and they've gone forth and multiplied their numbers... we've got several around the house that like to jump out at the dog, and especially the 'keets, when they go outside. :)

I know spider jump and crawl. but why can't they crawl 5ft away from me or jump 10ft away from me.

Status: offline 		I think we have attack spiders too....my husband several weeks ago had what I thought was a zit gone bad....on his face...turned into a big ugly hole in the side of his face (for those who have seen my husband....terrible eh? such a nice face to have an issue).  It took weeks to heal.  Then, I got one on my abdomen....about um, 1.5 weeks ago.....about 2 days after my showed up, my oldest UM got one on her shin...though....being a smaller body than my husband and I...her's became infected and within a day had cellulitis in it so off to the doctor to get ABT and the doc confirmed he thinks we were all bitten by a spider.  My UM is the only one who got infected...but since she's little, I'm not shocked.....the venom did more to her body than the adults.

Status: offline 		ewwww....we have waaaayyy to many spiders to even count here at our house....and occasionally one of us will get bit, but the only time it ever caused a major problem was the time I got bit by a brown recluse on the back of my arm. Luckily I caught it the instant it bit and recognized it for what it was and so managed to get it taken care of before too much tissue damage was done....
