Joe dolls, with all the army paraphernalia... parachutes, knapsacks, jeeps, etc. Although much has been said in many places about the proportions of the shapely Barbie, should she be made in full-sized human form, I've not read anything that mentions that G.I. Joes of the day were also somewhat anatomically endowed. But, unlike the Barbies, I doubt that anyone would even notice the G.I. Joes "features" should they have been made in full-sized human form.

Her porportions are a result of the fabrics of the times.  There was not the technology to create thinner fabrics, and so if she would have been correctly porportioned and dressed in the fabrics of the time (which were intended to go on real people) she would have looked like she was wearing a tire around her. 

Furthermore, while we all had are barbies go nekkid and what not, she was not supposed to be seen without clothes.  You were supposed to be playing with her while she was dressed. 

BTW, Mattel has come out with the CaliGirl barbies which are much better porportioned. 

And do not forget, Barbie was and astronaut 30 years before women were even considered for the space program.

You talking about GI Joe got me to thinking about my back yard.  Which is now in shambles since I dont know what I am going to do to it.  Every time I dig things up in the ground I find two things.  Glass from bottles long ago being broken by b-b guns in the back yard and army men.  The army men are from two generations of kids playing.  My husband and his brothers and friends and then my kids.  When I dig it up next spring I am sure to find more little green men.

Status: offline 		lol, as someone who adores goatees, yes, i'd have to say that 's part (only part) of what makes him a stud muffin! and if u shaved off his hair, he wouldn't be able to claim that he had a burnt halo affect. though why his halo would be burning..... mine doesn't
