I guess the local wx-heads are just being thorough, although to their defense, wind chill calculations are more or less an automated thing. We do have a N wind here blowing anywhere between 5 and 15 mph, and since the ambient temperature falls below 65 F, the wind chill calculation is automatically computed.

I'd still like to know why they chose 65 F as the baseline temp.

We've also got that annoying Fire Weather watch too, which locally means there's to be no unregulated and monitored burning... wood piles or backyard fire pits makes no difference. Again... being thorough I suppose.

Sorry trapped', I haven't seen the movie... but I may have to just so I can view the scene you're talking about.

And don't you boo-frickity-hoo me kitty... although I live here I'm not claiming to be, nor ever will, a Floridian. My nature keeps tugging me back to the land of 6-month snow cover and below zero temps. That's why I find wind chill calculations at 60 F so damned amusing.

I dont think Ive seen the movie either...so im unaware of the specif scene...so....trapped...describe it for us...what exactly happened with you and the boy last night? are there pictures?

The best way to describe the scene is a couple, who's just starting to sense there's something between them, walking along together... the guy is walking the gal to her door. They hit a patch of icy sidewalk and a comical routine ensues where they're falling into each other and, eventually, on the ground together. More small talk follows with the gal making it to her door and the guy walking off... no goodnight kiss or "come on in for a night cap" type of invite.

It's an awkward moment.

How's that for taking the romance out of the scene? ;-)

Wow, I have managed to make coffee this morning. And it is now snowing, BIG FLUFFY FLAKES!! Getting all over my porch furniture. Grrrrr.

And since I have been moving some furniture around, my allergies are acting up. I hate sneezing.

60 degrees would be nice. Even with a wind chill.

Aylee... good flakey Thursday morning to ya!
