I do not have a hurricane lamp.  But it sounds like a neat idea.

Got an i-phone for Hannukah this afternoon AND Michael is coming here in a couple of weeks!!  Life can be pretty good sometimes, ya know?
How are you?  Deep in the middle of finals I am sure?

I do not have a hurricane lamp.  But it sounds like a neat idea. 


I used to do all sorts of useless things like that when I lived in the land of the six-month snows... including doing the polar bear club thing.

Status: offline 		I think that the polar bear club thing is just WRONG. 

Although there was one year in Colorado, that a friend and I went up to the Grand Mesa and jumped in a lake that still had ice on it and snow around it.  Needless to say, the fishermmen on the bank across from us were umm. . . interested.

That sounds wonderful!  I am waist deep in finals, and the rest of me is deep in work stuff.  All the students are finishing up, so I have to file their evaluations and keep track of their hours, etc, etc....it never ends. 

Life can be pretty good...I'm loving my city...it gets better every day.  I think my favorite part of the day is walking along Pennsylvania Avenue rocking out to "The Great Escape"

Now, all I need is a man.

And, an iPhone...

And, an Aston Martin...

But only, those things.

May I ask what's wrong with the polar bear club thing? If you think about it, the water's much warmer, at around 33 F than the air usually is (below 0 F). Besides, the fun part is getting out of the water and running across the ice to the warming shack. :-)

They served the best hot adult beverages in that shack...
