The consistancy will vary greatly, normally ranging from almost water-like to oily. Color is clear and somewhat opaque.

Like the stuff that comes out of a runny human nose (that might be a grotesque, but still a fairly accurate description, IMO). Clear (as in colorless), and somewhat goo-ey, as far as its substance. That's my experience, anyway.

Actually male and female cum is a form of phlegm.

Change in the mucosa/mucus and female ejaculate is not only normal, it's important.  The viscosity changes during ovulation, as a reactor to stress, and also to changes in diet.

The time to stress is if there is a strong color* (red/pink usually means there is blood present, yellow/green indicates an infection) or a strong odor.  These are times to see your gynocologist QUICKLY.

*If you have been eating lots of cheetos and masturbating- don't worry quite so much about orange. (Just being silly)

It's not a strange question. Some of the responses have been strange (cheetoes...*laugh*), but the question is not. You always hear that if there is a strong vaginal odor or discharge to talk to your gynocologist, but chances are, sometimes you do have an odor and/or a discharge. This can be related to medications you may be taking (i.e. the Pill) and not be related to an infection at all (unless it is yellow or green as stated earlier). It is important to have regular gynecological check-ups, especially if you are sexually active, given the sheer number of STD's floating around. Some show up in women without any symptoms and can go undetected for years.

If it is lubricant-ish, smells like sex but clean and clear, it is cum.

If it is watery, gushing, odorless and friction causing, it is squirt.

If you get both, all the better.  If you don't...try, try again.

I know that in women who have a menstrual cycle and are not pregnant, the taste and aroma and consistancy of their vaginal fluids varies a bit every few days.
If the same woman becomes pregnant, this variation disapears and her fluids stay very similar for much longer times.
Once a woman no longer has periods, her juices will remain very similar over time.
Consistancy and flaver can be altered by diet, just as a man's ejaculate can be changed.
Cum = orgasm, this usually is happening when a woman "squirts" as her g-spot is stimulated, and these fluids will usually be more clear, thin and less tasty that regular vaginal fluids. Some people will also refer to any rush of vaginal fluids as "cum". However squirting does not happen with many types of orgasms.

LOL squirting can also be a loss of bladder control during orgasm.

In men ejaculation = squirting and is usually thought to be orgasm, but in fact this is not always true. The ejaculate and the orgasm here may both be called "cum" too.
However as many Dommes and many gays know, male orgasm can occur without erection or ejaculaton, and can also involve multiple orgasms. Male ejaculation of seminal fluids can also take place without an orgasm happening, which can be a painful part of a CBT or a male milking experience.

That is true as well, but then we'd call that urine...hehe

I know women who squirt when their lips are pulled on. It's alla certain matter of their body and it's make up. And it's not a science on what makes up a woman's ejaculate. Because it tends to vary from female to female. It is however, not urine. That makes it water sports.

On a personal note, I tend to call female ejaculate cum anyways. Personal choice and all. Then again...I like being called a cum rag too. :D

Vaginal fluids...sexual and otherwise tend to change reqularly sometimes from day to day mostly based on diet. Many women go through "yeast infection" type state just before their periods. However they don't actually have an infection. It's their hormones acting a little funny and the cravings they have trigger different eating habits.
