Im pretty much new on the site and have no experiences meeting or talking to a Domme even though i know my stuff on BDSM,but what exactly Makes an approachable profile? Especially for a newbie like myself!

I'll bite. [:)]

One of the things to keep in mind some Domme (myself included) get a lot of e-mail so they might not always approach you first. So unless they say otherwise, shoot them an e-mail.

Now in regards to the profile:
I like to know what the person is looking for, such as short term or long term relationship, just play partners ect. What kind of relationship your looking for.

Are you single or not. Monogamy or poly. Things you like to do, vanilla. Along these lines if you’re looking for real time or just online play. Also if your looking for local or distance doesn't matter. Also what makes you different from everyone else.

What I think your profile is a, mentor playmate (?) who is local to help you understand your local scene?

I would also look at lot of different profiles and see if you would want to approach them and if so try to incorporate that style of communication into your profile. Just remember be honest, and open about who you are it will give you the best chance of actually meeting someone.

Lastly good luck and best wishes.
Kat

I cant really ask for a better reply than that! Thanks for the sound advice SunNMoon. My profile is pretty much a didsaster at the moment.

I often suggest my profile if you're looking for the best way to present yourself.

Actually, littlesarbonn has a post somewhere in the archives that has some really good tips.

No offense to realtuff, there.

On my previous profile i went on talking about how "i would like to meet a Domme"...which was pretty much a bullshit profile! So i just updated it and went with some advice..im hoping its a little less bullshit!! [&:]..but its honest i suppose

Hi Johnny,

I might change the color the yellow, hurts my eyes after a little bit of reading. I do like the look through. I do think it's much better.

I would do as Lady Pact suggested and look up  what littlesarbonn wrote. He really has a great way of being informative yet having a sense of humor. Also this topic pops up a lot so just skim through a couple of pages and you should be able to see more information.

But I do think it's much better.

Bah! That littlesarbonn is constantly a thorn in my side, always ruining my plans for global domination!

Good effort, though I agree about the yellow, try something a little softer on the eyes.

When I was talking more online, I had an Irish subby, every now and then he contacts Me still for a brief chat. Would you like Me to put you in touch with him as just a sub male friend to chat to? Not sure how "out" he is there yet, but he might be of help!

The main thing about a profile is to be honest with yourself. Don`t make claims that will come back and kick your butt.

johnnyak -> RE: What makes a good profile for a newbie sub (8/17/2007 6:29:13 AM)

I decided to just go with the white color and dispose of the eye straining yellow! The colors just dont seem to work do they.MaamJay i would'nt mind talking to him if hes interested.Im sort of in the process of trying to talk with subs at the moment in an attempt to try make things clearer for me because im still in the "confused" stage of accepting my submissive side

MaamJay -> RE: What makes a good profile for a newbie sub (8/17/2007 7:14:28 AM)

OK I will try to contact him and see, I'll let you know (when I know so don't hold your breath waiting for an immediate answer!) through an email on the personal side of collarme.
Maam Jay
