I met my girl here while doing some chat moderation. We were just friends, lots of reasons at the time not to be interested in more.

However we both enjoyed certain things only peripherally in the community and made plans to go to such an event together. At the time we planned we were both with others but that had ended by the time the event actually rolled around months later - and so we went anyway.

Unsure whether we'd even play we hit it off and huge. Extremely compatible styles of play, dominance and submission, lifestyle views and choices etc. More than two years later we're still together, have a lovely daughter and are super happy! We've even started thinking about a play partner or three if we can find someone we both will enjoy.

So - yeah. There are a LOT of blocks of coal out there - but there are gems as well. If you have the patience.

there are lots of good people everywhere. it has helped me to go into each first "in the flesh" meeting with the simple expectation of meeting a genuinely nice man. i have not been disappointed when approaching it this way.

now, there was time when i would go to a first meet...wearing my lil submissive heart on my sleeve.... and big big expectations which evolved into big big disappointments.
