I enjoy talking to other people in the lifestyle.However I don't understand how come when I get mail the first thing most people start with is profanity or crude behavior. Yes I am looking for a woman to be with,but to start off "hey slut" or some such just turns me off. Why is it that no one seems to be able to take the time to start off with a friendly hello and realize that I'm a real person,and although I enjoy certain things during a scene with someone I trust,I don't like being talked to in an inappropriate manner when I know nothing about you. I feel if you're going to be with someone then take TIME and get to know them BEFORE addressing them in a manner that to me is very intimate. Has any one else seen this a problem?

I was just thinking about this early today! Your not alone in this thinking...i dont understand it either. For me, i want to know what kind of person I am talking to...to know if i want to continue talking to that person. Its true we might share common interests when it comes to relationships, but thats once the relationship starts! Not the first "Hello" online..

I've never received an e-mail like that. However, I have aol because they allow very large attachments. That is a huge bonus to me. Because of aol, people can find you. So, i get the occassional IM. Yes, it happens quite frequently with IM's. Especially if frequenting a chat room. You just have to shake it off..and realize these people aren't meant for you. They have no real knowledge of how to find a partner in real life. Sure, I'm sure that sort of behavior would turn one in a million on but the average person it isn't. Just ignore them

It simply points to social ineptness. Which is why they are online with you. Rather than in bed,with another.[:D]

I'm so glad to know I'm not alone in my thinking!!! I really would like to chat with friendly people and maybe more but not if they think talking that way is a turn on. I mean come on!!

They are just rube people and i don't pay them any mind. Like in a previous post a guy i did not even know wanted me to get breast implants. I have better thing to do with my time then to even bother with them. littleone

Maybe one of these days those that do that will realize why they can not find anyone and are spending all there time sitting online getting nowhere. Until then I will just ignore those and enjoy my time with those that can show me the same respect that I show them.

Because most of the people here live in a fantasy land and don't want to step out from behind their computer to experience reality. This is my experience anyway, on this particular site. Trust me, there are other places to find REAL people that you can actually see and touch..lol!

I've noticed that (luckily) and by most part, the obnoxious/lewd messages have slowed. Also luckily I have had a lot of people who have been polite wellwishers, and better yet I have even found a few people to befriend- which I have already started reaping the benefits of. Honestly, friendship, advice, support... are basically all I'm looking for- and if the person isn't willing to glance over my profile/journal first... then I doubt they are going to give the above to me- so I don't even bother with the courtesy of a reply. I simply delete and save my sweet words for more deserving ears (eyes?.)

Gheesh; i cannot remeber any man ever cussing at me in a 1st email; but the "i liked your pic" email drives me batshit. It tells me they did not read my profile, which says, "please tell me about your values and how you apply them in your daily life". i guess i'm like the man who feels sorry for himself because he has no shoes..until he meets the man who has lost a leg. Things could obviously be much worse. pleasureforHim

It's a common problem I would imagine. I know I have received many emails like the ones you're describing. In fact, my latest one was "on your knees bitch." I don't answer them but I've often wanted to ask them how well that has worked for them online. I get this on AOL more than I have here, although the previous mentioned email did come from someone on this site. But I'm new to this site, so I imagine that's why I haven't received that many of those. Just a matter of time, I think. C.
