Some of Y/you have expressed interest in seeing the progress... now that the weather is cooperating and My wrist is reasonably healed, I've started the tedious task of converting an 800 square foot hay loft into a dungeon.

I will update with photos, etc., as I go... hopefully I'll have a few pieces of furniture in there by the weekend... My bondage chair is about done (just need to paint/stain it and add some padding and eye screws to it) and My new-to-me bondage table is about one-quarter done.

Almost everything you'll see furniture-wise is made out of "recycled" barn boards and beams. This is all wood I've had laying around the barn (in and under it), so it is rough-hewn, has actual dimensions (the "siderails" on the bondage bed are 2" x 9") and is worn/beat up/beautiful.

Very cool! Nothing like old aged wood for character.I build a bridge out of wood and iron I "found" out in Arizona.Good luck with the project, I'll be interested in the progress also.

Thanks for the comments... I got the bondage bed framed in last night.. I need to get some pleather so I can lightly pad the bed... I was going to put some rope cleats on it too, but after a quick visit to Dom Depot and Lowe's, I realized that I wanted like $60 worth of cleats on it.. lol

I'm thinking I'll be calling out of work on thursday... about once a month I call in "sick (and tired)".. heh heh heh... but will get some more done and share the photos...

BTW.. the space is a LOT cleaner than in the original run of pix... I got all the crap wood out of there... one stack for bon fires, the other stack for kindling for this winter.

Still looking for a helping hand from locals... :-)

The woodwork and wood look great. I love using old barns for wood. Ahh... but the market place has raised the price quite a bit.

Good luck with the project and I can't wait to see pictures when it is finished.

Update! Yayy!

The bed is done, for all intents sand purposes, finally.. I will be building accessories for it as I go along, and that didn't even put a DENT in the pile of wood, so...

Next up will be finished My bondage chair, which is basically all constructed, just need to "lightly pad" the seat and back.. some eyescrews and that will be done. I found an old camp bed thing up there with what looks like mini chain link fence.. that's going to be made into something sinister... a "mantis chair" is on My list, a cross and a couple spanking benches. Oh.. and pillory stocks.. I have those half-finished.

I'll be putting up a large cabinet for paddles, rope, etc. (think the sword case in "The Crow"), and if I can find another black metal futon frame, I'll get started on the cage.

That's a pretty good start.

Shhhh...

Yup.

To give you an idea of scale, I'm 6'4", so that's a good-sized table.. plus it just held nearly 500# (plus "action") so I am QUITE happy with it.

"Lightly padded" of course.. lol

Yes, I'd love to see how it's coming along. It's great that you have the space and time to create such a place. I'm envious if I had such a place to dwell in I'd be like a kid in a candy store.
