Anybody else having problems with the forums loading? It's only this site for me. Extremely slow loading. Been like this all day long from early this morning anytime I've tried to access the site or navigate it. Every other site I've been to has been fast, no probs at all. Just wondering if it's the site itself.

It's been like that for me on and off for the past week or so, but not for me today. It's been loading fine. But now that I've jinxed myself...

It's gotten slow and bogged down a few times this week for me, but nothing like today and not for such an extended period of time.

Maybe they're just peak hours for the site, or some other bridge between you and the CM.com server. (The requests for informations often go in different directions on the net, depending on what they are. If a link that the path to CM.com's server happens to be overloaded, it can make CM.com act up, but perhaps not any of the other sites you may use.)

It was slow as molassas earlier, but so was the net in general [:@]. It seems better now, but... insert Jaws theme... I know the slow bug is out there... lurking... waiting... hunting...

I was kinda wondering if heavy traffic on the site was part of it. Just seemed odd that it would be all day long though. So far it's back to normal for me now at least.

CM often has periods of slowness which I attribute to an overuse of their servers. The most likely reason that some people experience problems and others don't is that not everyone logs into the same server. One of them may well have technical problems of its own and require a re-boot from time to time. Whatever it is, however, is just something that you have to deal with.

Yep and I'm used to it for the most part with as long as I've been here now, but today was unusual in the length of time it lasted. It's usually not that bad.

We are not aware of any current performance issues related to Collarchat.com. If you do experience long response times, we suggest that you try going to www.collarme.com immediately afterwards and see if it also seems significantly slower than normal. This test will help us determine the nature of the problem you are experiencing. Another helpful step would be to run a traceroute and send the results to Collarme Support. Thanks. I will do so anytime I encounter this problem now. Too wierd how bad it was and the length of time the issue went on for.

What I'm seeing today is that the page thread posts load just fine except for the "Recent Posts" tracker at the top. My browser keeps churning away trying to get that applet refreshed but ultimately times out with an error. If I cancel the page refresh after all the posts themselves have loaded, I'm missing nothing except for the content of the tracker box.

I'd say try what the admin says to above and see what happens. I've had those type of issues you describe myself a couple of times but the one I described in my OP is usually the prob I have when I have a prob with the site.
