DarkangelAzrael -> Anyone know of a good leather findings store? (8/23/2007 8:35:36 PM)

I'm looking for some stripped leather, and what not...Maybe other things to work with, so that I can be creative, and make my own toys.:)

Does anyone know of some type of wholesale leather company? Or something online where you can just by certain cuts and types of leather?

Thanks!

Accessories like buckles and things can be found at http://www.ohiotravelbag.com/.  They've got a fantastic catalog of anything you can possibly imagine to fasten to leather.

Sure...... It's a long way away from you, but this is probably one of the best leather stores in the world. They even stock top quality kangaroo hide. They are also close to me. About an hour away...

Don't they only do wholesale orders, though, or did they change that policy? i remember trying to order from them a few years back, and they wanted a business TID, and a minimum order, and all that noise.

i don't have the link handy, but there's a shop in Maine called Brettun's Leather Village that i've purchased from several times, and they're much more reasonable than Tandy. They deal in overstocks, so their product line varies from month to month, but there's usually something there you can use.

If you have a business TID then they use that to record the sale for IRS records. It's not a necessity to purchase. There is a minimum $75 first time order and $30 minimum subsequent orders.
