I saw this article on Yahoo! and thought I'd share the link with all the Wwomen of CM. Though it's written for the vanilla crowd, I found the advice pertinent to WITTWD as well.

I didn't really like it, or think it applicable to most people who've been online for more than 6months.
1) Thinking That Your Great Date Actually Meant Something
If I had a great date, I will consider it a great date and hope he feels the same, if he doesn't, it was still a great date, and I move on to more potential great dates.
2) Expecting Him to Tell the Truth in His Profile.
Some people actually do tell the truth in their profiles. There is no need to assume liar, until proven.
3) Thinking You're Now Dating the Man You've Met Online
Only a person with extremely limited social skills (or intensily boring life) would remove any/all mistery of getting to know him/her within an one-two page profile, so a profile is just a way to connect and get to know for me.
Don't take an enormous exception to anything else he/she wrote. M

On line introductions and meeting is no different then meeting in any other venue, but meeting is the operative word.
Spending time together...sharing yourself with another...embracing moments together with gusto even if on the internet or telephone remains a shared event and I have never spent time with another human being that in some way did not enhance me. Cynicism is never a positive life force

My Madame and I saw that article a week or two ago, and were saying to each other we thought we could see alot of the dommes (subs too, im sure) we know in those situations. interesting to know it wasnt just us.
