Hi All: A Dom friend of mine was trying to recall the name of a movie which he said was pure BDSM.. ..I've tracked it down, it was called "Preaching to the Perverted" (see here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119935/plotsummary ). Starred Christien Anholt ("Nigel" from the "Relic Hunter" series). Anyone else seen it? Opinions? The brief synopsis doesn't sound as though it was too favourable.... (as usual....) Thanks

It was not bad, with predictable plot devices, and good production.

A light harted look at the scene with a few serious points. But well worth seeing just for Trigger (from only fools and horses) inserting a butt plug. Oh and try to spot me in the opening scene! What do the critics know...

I LOVED it! But do know that's it is pure fetish cotton candy! In no way does it truly document nor capture the reality of the leather lifestyle. But some of the contraptions used are outlandish and appealing, the costuming and set decor are hot hot hot ... not to mention Guinevere Turner -- I LOVE her! While the plot evolution is a bit silly, it actually has a definite root in reality and the oft-time hypocritial nature of censorship. It's a fun, technicolor romp through the world of fetishes! I actually didn't care for the movie. But the sad part is, I don't remember why I didn't care for it. Yet, I was relieved it wasn't another "all BDSM people are evil abusers" type of fare. So I will give it some credit. Although the "Making of" stuff on the DVD was actually interesting.

I (malepart) am also in the crowdscene, somewhere. I thought it was a pretty standard brit-com fare, but it's balanced views on the scene, highlighting the need for consent, and the assery of the law... it's worth a watch

Yes, my son, then a soldier convinced the padre to rent it from the on-base video store, telling him it was all about preaching to Africans!
