    I'm supposing this forum is the appropriate place to post this question. So here it is:

For when you have to use a condom, what is your preferred brand/type?


Just a simple question because I'm not too knowledgeable in many areas. So thanks.

I prefer trojans, easy access and descent price.  Most of the time, I go for the plain garden variety spermicidal lube, and occasionally the ribbed. Adn the Magnum work well as well... incase you have  need for it.

Right now I've got a package of Trojan Extended Pleasure (with spermicidal lubricant) and a package of Durex Avanti, since someone I hope to need condoms with has a latex allergy.

But usually, I'll go with whatever Trojan brand is on sale/cheapest. Never had one break, never lost one, and (as far as I know) never had one fail to prevent pregnancy.

Yes, us lesbians use condoms too... but on my strap on and toys of course... my wife prefers me to use Avanti for oral sex because they are non-latex (and she has sensitivities for latex), but they are a tad more expensive than other brands.  We like Bareback brand condoms (lubricated is okay) for anal or vaginal sex.  We use other kinds as well, but those are our perferred forms of protection.  *luckily, we don't have to worry about pregnancy issues*  :)  my strap on is good.. but clearly not that good *wink*

General random sex I go with trojan lubricated spermicidal

For real long term intimate sex I go with durex ultra thin

Ok...this is a new personal favorite of mine, after another thread I started not too long ago. I dont have a latex allergy, but the Durex Avanti are by far my favorite condoms ever. They are a bit pricer, and sometimes hard to find, normally have them at CVS but not walmart. They dont have that rubbery smell/taste, so you can give a blow job over them without gagging, and if you want to give a blow job without a condom, but have used a condom earlier in the evening, they dont leave the rubbery taste behind on the cock either....

They are also quite a bit thinner than the regular latex ones, and everyone Ive handed one to since I first started buying them has loved them. Says they feel much better. from both the guys and the girls perspective.

Lifestyles standard model... pretty good if I'm not sure what's going on, or tossing them out into a crowd of people as a guerrilla action.
Durex polypropylene (latex tends to irritate me) if I'm fairly confident of things being low risk or if oral is involved
Durex "Gold Coins" live in my medicine cabinet, mostly for "stealth" reasons.

Trojan or Durex...Lifestyles if they're free.  I prefer lubricated and spermicidal, no matter the brand.

I have used in the past Durex Tingle and while I did not feel it too much, my dom really did and really enjoyed it, so that is probably the type I would pick if I have to buy any.

Just so you know, it's no longer reccomended to get condoms with  non oxonal 9 , they're s upposed to be linked to health problems.

I am a Trojan man myself. I recomend trying the magnums if you are having any problems with them sliding off. I have no elusions of being huge, but I stand by the Magnums...

I tend to stick with Trojans but I can't have the spermicide ones inside of me because I'm allergic to it....that was an awkward conversation to have with the doctor but I'm on bc too to be sure of no pregnancy.  I never have had a problem with Trojans not working or being uncomfortable and believe me there is such a thing as an uncomfortable condom! ^_^

I switch between the torjan and the durex...I have both latex and the non-latex (ultra then polyurithane) as She has a slight sensativity to latex. However personally I prefer latex in gloves and condoms.

Trojan, lubricated with spemicide. Simple. Effective. Cheap. Easy to carry. I have had a few minor reactions, as long as I take a shower afterwards I'm fine or use the restroom.  

For the non-latex varity, I have a few different brands; to give a list would require getting into my play bag.

I stand by Trojans as well. Free Lifestyles are perfectly serviceable though.

Crown (regular) condoms are by far my favorite brand, although they can be a bit on the snug side for some gents...if a Crown just won't fit, i like Kimono Max. i always use lubricated condoms withOUT spermicide. that stuff is irritating to my girlie bits, and makes cleaning by mouth after condom removal, or drinking from the condom, pretty much impossible.

i've found i don't care for any of the condoms you typically find in drugstores and such...take the extra trouble to hit up an adult store and stock up every now and then, or better yet, just order in bulk online like we do. condomdepot dot com is a good source.

I have to agree with the highlighted part.  It's do-able, but horrendously awful.
