Status: offline 		So what music do you listen to to put you in the mood or keep you in the mood. I ask because I just found the amazing Nine Inch Nails and Enigma mix of Sadeness...

Those two artists are my personal faves...though I love Bronski Beat as well.

Any other songs, bands, or scene tunes you can suggest?

Status: offline 		Okay I pretty much like all of the above, but an interesting choice for an upbeat overall just fun energy session - swing music has a FANTASTIC beat! lol

For mellower stuff jazz is always cool, Monk rules (okay so do a few others, but I'm having Monk phase right now sos there!)

Just hadda add those cuz I didn't see them added in yet lol.

Status: offline 		Ahh...music. i was thrilled to see mention of Tangerine Dream by MizSuz. i have most of their early stuff from the 80's to early 90's. my all time favorite is Ricochet...a piece of work that continually changes with lots of energy.

i listen to:
Tangerine Dream
Vangelis
Peter Gabriel (Passion...the title song will hit like a wave of feeling)
Enigma
The KLF (Chill Out)
The Orb (The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld)
Note: The same artist worked on both the KLF and Orb
Massive Attack
Camouflage (Voices and Images...the last track is very sensual)

To relax i really enjoy Enya.

Status: offline 		Hmm, I can't believe people are mentioning Tangerine Dream without adding Shadowfax.

I would say that things vary with the mood. I can go from NIN to techno depending on the setting I am seeking to create. Enigma is of course always available as selection 7 on the CD-loader.

Status: offline 		Mannheim Steamroller, the Fresh Aire albums. All instrumental ranging from high energy to chants. Mix and match to taste *grins*

For another high energy activity (housework lol) I love big band!

Moody Blues also have some great sounds.

Those are the only ones I can think of that havent already been mentioned.

Status: offline 		I'll tell you a dang good one I found by weird chance...the new "Planet of the Apes" movie soundtrack is bad ass for scening - especially the first song - great for any act with impact. Trust me on this one!

Also fantastic...the Red Dragon and Hannibal soundtracks. I especially like those because I would submit to anything Dr. Lecter wanted. He makes my thing wet.

Status: offline 		Being the "the path less traveled" type of person I am, I love to listen to NatureQuest. A particular favorite is Wolfsong, smile, makes the natives nervous. The blend of classical music, with the stalking howls of a pack of hunting wolves seems to distrub the sweet sub/slave. Sundew

I love Kitaro, especially the Silk Road CD. My preference on the Peter Gabriel "Passion" CD is track four (can't remember the name of it). It always makes me want to grap a spear and dance around a fire.

Vangelis, as well. Favorite album is "Direct"
Massive Attack and Camoflage I haven't heard of (but I bet I rectify that soon).

Sherri is the one we need to get involved in this thread. If she keeps collecting digital music she's going to have to buy a server for it all (lucky me, we're networked so I can listen to it but the stuff can live on HER harddrive!). I think between us we probably have 60 to 70 gig of stuff.

I havne't heard Shadowfax...yet.

I also love the blues. Deborah Coleman, SRV, BBKing, LOOOOOVE Jimmy Reed, Robert Johnson, Keb Mo, I could go on and on and on.

Status: offline 		Camouflague!!! I love Music for Ballerinas on the V&I album... But they are such a Depeche Mode rip off...and no one mentioned DM! Some Great Reward is a wonderful album...and although the sentiment is right, Master and Servant is the weakest song on the album....

Suz, swing music!?! I swing dance at least once a week, and the very thought of that has crossed some strange wires in my mind...

I think it was Diva that mentioned Swing, but I'd second the motion. Big band is a wonderful genre and I do love to dance.
