I won't say do BDSM play because you'd not have the consent of all present to involve them in a BDSM scene.

Let me get this straight. You need consent for BDSM, but not for sex? That's new to me...

domiguy -> RE: Play at DisnyLand (9/4/2007 6:30:17 AM)

I do understand that Disney Land should not be your first choice there definitely is a squick factor....Didn't really think out my initial response....But Goddammit! If you bring your kids to the lakefront....Shield their eyes.

Synocense -> RE: Play at DisnyLand (9/4/2007 6:49:17 AM)

I was raised thirty minutes from Disneyland so I spent many, many weekends there as a child. When I moved to Arizona, I made it a point to return as frequently as possible. I realised on my last trip - at 40 years old - that it never matters my age, when I step through the turnstiles I am magically *snickers* transformed into a kid again. Personally, any sort of bdsm play or sexual activities while there would seem .....wrong. I have to admit also that any form of public play that is not absolutely foolproof, meaning you will not get caught or viewed by the unsuspecting, holds no appeal to me. It seems to me there is a wide world out there and with a little more creativity you could find something satisfying that doesn't tweak the image of wholesome fun. OooOO, i am going to hell for being so judgmental. Bad girl, bad.

Mercnbeth -> RE: Play at DisnyLand (9/4/2007 7:13:42 AM)

Well, I have to say, should beth and I ever get abducted by aliens and find ourselves upon return beamed into Disneyland - we'll be 'playing'.That's because we 'play' wherever and whenever we are together. No, unless we're there on 'Leather Day' at Disney, I won't be in leather with a crop hanging off my belt, but they'll be a lot of groping - there always is, maybe some non-consensual ride participation by beth, and a flashing picture or two (HELL - we did it at the Vatican); but we'll not "turn off" our dynamic. By the way - there is a 'Leather Day' at Disney. It's a midweek off-season day - unofficial but a real day that Disney accepts because it brings in $$$.

We appreciate that the only 'slave' representation permitted at Disney are the laborers who made the tee-shirts for $0.10/hour that are sold for $29.95. We know that just because their movies show mostly submissive female characterizations such as 'Sleeping Beauty', 'Ariel', 'Cinderella', Pocahontas; needing a strong man to rescue them doesn't really effect the minds of the children viewing them, creating desires to dominate or submit.

Regarding 'exposure', the fear of discussing issues is contributory to puritanical attitude toward public displays of affection. Seeing two men kiss or holding hands may cause concern to some. I'm sure the same occurred when the first inter-racial couples had the nerve to be out in public exposing themselves to 'regular' people. "OMG - how dare they! - Quick pull off the mouse ears, and make a blindfold!"

On the other side of the coin, at the end of the month we'll be at the Folsom Street Fair; 10 blocks where if you can think it - you can see it. Nudity and public displays of affection, albeit what some would consider real twisted displays of affection, no matter where you look. Would you like us to count and report the number of strollers and toddlers we'll see "invading" our space?

He dips His lid;

There was a thread sometime ago (that I posted to and seems to have been removed) that was about a supposed ethical pro domme and her site with pics of bdsm gear n light play at Disneyland.  Things got well out of hand on this thread- little wonder I can find my postings to it in a 'personal post search'.

Play nicely people or enter the child realm yourselves!!!

Laughs to all. Driver

Aine -> RE: Play at DisnyLand (9/4/2007 11:31:58 AM)

A giant public place with CHILDREN abounds....like Disneyland is so completely lacking in taste and good sense in my honest opinion.

It's tacky, and with complete disregard for everyone there.  Noone brings their child to Disneyland or the like with any expectations whatsoever of the possibility of running into some person or persons involved in any kind of sexual encounter.  The odds of being caught it very high, and likely that despite the need for discretion on the part of the park workers themselves if someone IS found out, it's likely that a small ruckus would occur and the possibility of some child being exposed to that is utterly sickening in my opinion.

To think that someone would want to even CHANCE a child being exposed to something like that in a place like that is off their rocker in my eyes.

Non-consent has NO place in what we do, and those of AGE do.  Keep it away and out of places like Disney.

There was a thread a while back about doing something similar to the gay day at Disney, which is another topic altogether so please don't hijack.  They thought it would be a good idea to have a BDSM type day at Disney.  WTF?  No.  Disney is for kids first and foremost!!!!  Keep it away from the children!!!

PSA -
This year 'GAY DAY' at Disneyland is October 6, 2007.

While the first event, which began with a basic email chain, brought in about 2,500 people to Disneyland, in 2006, nearly 30,000 GLBT folkand their friends and families turned the Happiest Place on Earth into the Gayest! Source: http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/139813/

This is the eighth annual Gay Days at Disneyland, and organizers say they expect more than 30,000 GLBT people to attend the main day at Disneyland on Saturday.

Attendees to Gay Days wear red shirts to stand out in the crowd.

As the articles state, this isn't a Disney Event, but no money will be turned away.

There were many sites to view 'reviews' of the event. This one seems to be 'on topic' of the OP:
quote:

I will second the notion that it is not the best time of year to get in a lot of attractions. Big crowds, it's hot, and the lines are long. But if you want to people watch, and enjoy the parks with "family" it can be a lot of fun.

Nothing like watchin three or four big ole bears trying to cram themselves into one teacup!

Nothing like watching Disney security freak out when the bears all meet at the Country Bear Jamboree. "There big, burly and in leather, what do we do?"

Nothing like watching Disney entertainment freak out when all of the gals line up down Main Street trying to get on the train for the Lesbo express right before the parade! "We need these gals out of here so we can run the parade, bring out the extra trains!"

Nothing like watching the unsuspecting mom looking at the park map telling her husband "I dont see this listed on here anywhere!

Note the leather referenced above. I don't think this day compares to the Folsom Street Fair, but I'd bet 'vanilla' is only obvious at the ice cream stands.

GoodAMLtlSchlGrl -> RE: Play at DisnyLand (9/4/2007 2:39:27 PM)

I have to agree with the 'No Way' segement on here.  I am kind of squishy about public play anyway - after all, all the people you are delighting in shocking didn't consent to the scene.   But Disneyland...?  Are you mad?

In the privacy of your motel room.

Missokyst -> RE: Play at DisnyLand (9/4/2007 3:05:20 PM)

I am not sure if people turn off their good taste while in the pursuit of kink, or if they never had the ability to recognise tackiness if it hit them.
It's a small world in many people's heads.
I am glad my kids are grown.

Wasn't there another thread like this on here where the Domme and her friend actually posted pics of her slave on her website? i could have sworn there was [8|]

IvyMorgan -> RE: Play at DisnyLand (9/4/2007 3:20:10 PM)

Disneyland Paris (also known by "cast memebers" as Micky Mousechwitz and Donal Dachau (when the memo went round that people using the micky name would be fired on sight)) had cast kink parties when it opened.

I'm trying to remember where I was talking about Disney Fetish parties.

I really have nothing useful to say.

For crying out loud, isn't there ANYPLACE that can be left to the kids? Disneyland, for heaven's sake? There are plenty of places where adults can go to play, where ID's are checked to keep underaged folks from seeing (or spoiling) the fun. You don't see 6 year olds playing chase around the poles at strip joints; they shouldn't have adults playing sex games on their turf.

The thought of kids running around strip clubs sent chills up my spin.... ouch

OK let me make sure those who are upset understand this is not something I ever ever intend on doing. The subject came up in a conversation. It made me wonder if anyone had ever done it so I asked. I would never do anything where kids are at as I have children of my own.

Missokyst -> RE: Play at DisnyLand (9/5/2007 7:49:42 AM)

Ewwwwwwwie.  Last year I saw some talk show where they were teaching pole dancing, and had students in the single digit ages.
They said it was simply aerobic excercise.  But there is something very disturbing about that.
