Bob...do us all a favor including your deceased family members...log of the internet to do your grieving...this really isn't the appropriate place to do it...this is not intended with malice or anger, but with concern...grieving for a relationship that lasted, i assume, as long as yours did takes a long, long time....

ask the question what a true MASTER in not....... as i say just beacuse you carry and belt and rope in your hands does not make you a master.  sometime it makes you an ass hole.

I believe this question will arise time and again , from my perspective I will say this , a true Master comes in many forms , each following their own paths and this i would say is a characteristic of a Master he is his own man , he knows were he is going , what he wants to achieve , he will consider others advice but make his own choice and not follow the crowd for the sake of compliance or sense of belonging , a Master will stick to his principles no matter what .To be a Master is something that is a part of his core being not something lernt .Anyone can learn to use equipment , anyone can learn to follow rules and guidlines , in the world of BDSM there are many subcultures and spin offs , each one will have their own Masters but they will all be different.

I would hope by now you have come to understand that there is not a black and white answer but one that stands between the candle and the star.  It is one that is very subjective to the needs of the submissve.  We have come to learn however that there are numerous persons who just want to 'hurt' another just to do it.  Then there are those who just want to 'play' with another mind.  These are the ones who leave a wake of abused persons who find it very hard to trust again.   We have seen this occur on many occasions.

Open honest communication always needs to be at the forefront of any relationship.  When a relaionship involves the degrees of dominant and submissive tendencies that are sought it is extremely important.   I believe though the post some hinted on various tale-tale signs of a dominant from taking their time by going at your own pace to not 'cheating' you just because they are dominant.   the way your body reacts to the one who you believe might be dominant is the best idicator wheather that person might be able to be your dominant and to what degree.

Just our two cents

Greetings kitty,

yes, if *you* put him to water and he floats, he's definately not a true Master *rotfl*

Best wishes!
