I have some questions, and their not bdsm related, and their kind of dumb, so where could I go to find answers, about like why do we get the sensations we do when full, why does it feel like you've got a lead ball in your guts when ya eat to much, ect ect.

I would imagine the wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stomach) on stomach would be pretty well edited into something decent.  Contrary to the mass generalizations wikipedia can be reliable for topics that have been around for a long time; it's still not good for anything more than filling curiosity though.  Otherwise, I'm sure a little googling could produce more consistant sources of information.

Plus there is the psychological (or some call it physiological) effects of foods/drinks.

Some foods seemingly never satisfy the hunger button.

and..
Ever notice that one bottle of water can cause someone to feel full, yet they can digest a 6 pack of beer and not 'feel' full...the alcohol shuts off the neurons responsible for such feeling.

who wanna beer with me? or 6?

Try this link:
http://biology.about.com/library/organs/bldigeststomach4.htm

About.com medical/science pages are usually not too complicated, and offer lots of explanations. There are more links to the left of the pages, and also below the article itself.

Happy reading.

never having been much of a beer drinker, I wouldn't know, but I do agree that certain drinks fill you up more than others, and perhaps it can be pychological. It's also probably what you drink, like something high in carbination, say a soda, would make you fuller than a same sizeb ottle of water, just takes up more room.

Carbonation gives the feeling of being full only temporarily.  They also (even if lower alcohol content) make you feel drunk faster.

Alcohol in general shuts off your brain cell/neurons that 'hey, I'm full'.  It might take one person 3 drinks to do that, another just one.  Brain tolerance to alcohol dependent, of course.

I can't even finish an entire soda. Not sure I even had one in about 10 years lol.

afternote: Don't even ask me to recall which specific neuron, I finished psych in 2000, books are buried and frankly I'd hate to google it.  Someone else can if they wish lol.  thanks in advance.

An awesome doctor I met at Walter Reed told me of some great research articles on this subject, wish I knew where he moved to now. I'm about useless in old age LOL.

well if you eat red meat, it settles in your stomach for a long time, that is one of your "lead ball" reasons

another is the type of foods you eat, if it has a  lot of gas making ability it also can feel like a lead weight and be very painful until you let your backside rumble

bottombob, why does it sit around forever? I've eaten some meals, not huge by any means, they were average to small size, bacon eggs, a muffin, and some juice, and I've felt so full, uncomfortably so, for about 4 hours after eating. Also, why does it feel more heavy to one side or another if we're laying down? I guess the food's shifting.

A critical reference in my library is a twin-volume set The American Medical Association Home Medical Encyclopedia published by Random House.

The reference is presented in an A to Z listing and cross referenced. Typically, topics are defined and then discuss causes and incidences, symptoms and diagnosis, and treatment and outlooks.

I'm sure its available at bookstores like Barns & Nobels, Waldenbooks etc., or on line at Amazon... You could probably even find it in your local library in a pinch.
