First, the term is "cuckold', not 'cockold'.
Generally, it is a married man who is typically chaste, while his wife has sex with other men. He may or may not participate by preparing and or cleaning up, he may or may not witness the sexual activity, he may or may not be responsible for finding partners for his wife.
Since the above is just 'general' information, you should know that often times people modify definitions of such things to suit their own desires, but the premise is basically the same.
