Speaking of other doms not helping but hurting a fellow gal, a similar thing happened to me in Denver a number of years back. I set up a dungeon in a business and residential zoned warehouse/artist commune type building. I did get the dancer's license that the city required (and that is what they told me I needed when I said what it was I was going to do- set up a dungeon). I had undercover cops calling me for days before I agreed to take one on in a session. When I met with him for coffee, I asked what he did for a living- he said construction; looking at his clean, manicured nails, I knew my gut was right and he was indeed a cop. I thought that if I did the session as legally as possible that they might leave me alone. I did make him dress as a maid and sweep up the entire studio with a tiny broom and mop, on hands and knees. He repeatedly asked for some kind of sexual contact - but back then, I was not as well versed as I am now, so I did not kick him out asap. After he cleaned for me, I gave him the option of facing a corner and doing his business with his back to me, or dressing and leaving. He chose to leave of course, saying, "Nice racket you got here." Not two seconds after I closed the door, I had 15 cops knock on it, then burst thru my door when I answered it. I did ask if they had a warrant, as they didn't have my permission to come in, but they said they had a complaint and that was enough- and no, I did not need to know who made it. They took pics, seized things and treated me like a whore on the street. I was told to come downtown the next morning to talk to the detectives after they had spoken with the DA... cause they didn't know what to do with me. I went the next day and they couldn't even write me a ticket! They told me I was free to go on operating, as they couldn't find anything at that time to get me on. But I was panic-stricken that they would find, or plant, something at a later date. I had to cancel all work I'd lined up for fear of what would come next. Well, homelessness for a few months came next. I was unwilling to put myself out on a limb again when I had no money for legal help and was new in town and didn't have any regulars to help me or give advice. The short of the story turned out to be that only a few dommes worked in town then. One of them did not want anyone else coming to town who was a threat to their biz. I am thinking of one woman who ran an outcall service that did domme work too... but it all matters not now, I suppose. When the time came for a shakedown, I had no cash and no options other than the car, or moving home to Dayton again... which I eventually ended up doing. Good times!! It is just sad that there is no comraderie when there really needs to be some, to help ensure everyone's freedom down the line. Thanks for the link to the old posts about this Mistress's story... I appreciate it! MissT
