You'd be surprised what the testicles can take!  Love it when Mistress uses her hand or some other impliment to spank mine!  

If you really want to increase the intensity, try using a stretcher of some kind on them, and then spank them with the hand or other impliment of your choice.  There's also parachutes and similar things from which a Domme can hang weights on the sub's scrotum, thus applying pressure to the balls.  Keep adding weights until he can't handle any more.  I can think of lots of ways that could bruise them, but that would involve intentionally breaking a capillary vessel, which I wouldn't neccessesarily reccomend.  If it happens incidentally to your play, that's another matter.  I second the recommendation on the "Family Jewels" book by Hardy Haberman.

Heavy wooden spoons are also known to be a favorite choice of many Dommes for this kind of play.  Catch them swinging from below when he's either on his knees or better yet, standing and leaning slightly forward (legs apart) with a loose scrotum and you might get the results you're looking for.
