You make it sound like I'm contemplating suicide over it.  It just shook me up a little, is all, I'm not used to getting weird emails from random people.

Actually, I think that should be "random emails from weird people".  But maybe that's my preference.

Think of it as the 21st C. equivalent of the obscene phone call.  Random spew in an attempt to elicit a response...and in your case, Pyyrse, it worked.

Here's a thought -- what if nasty vulgar emails are "his" kink?   Then aren't we all being politically incorrect (in the CM mode) in trashing this behavior?  Where's the same tolerance that people clamor for when someone bashes ProDommes, Poly, gun play or mayonnaise play?  Isn't it "that's not MY kink, but its ok if its yours, Mr. Spammer, so spam away!"

hmmmmm....

E.

I certainly hope that's not the case, but eh, if it is, then I hope he got a good monkey-spanking out of it, haha.

Now about this mayonnaise kink....

PS: Your signature is brilliant.  I noticed it on another post and giggled.

I'm just wondering, how common is it to get threatening/degrading/otherwise just plain cruel and offensive emails through this site?  I'm not talking about the "On your knees!" phenomenon but more along the lines of "get the f*ck out of here you stupid bitch" messages, completely unsolicited.

For a while, I used to respond to things on the boards I thought were stupid to try to reason them out.  Then, I had some sense and reasoned with myself that not everyone cares to be rational about things, and stopped.  Still, when I did, I got a good bit of hate mail.  Some of it pretty.. well, yeah, like that.

Still, I haven't gotten much (any?) from some random person, so far as I can remember.  It sounds like something to report for sure.

Feeling a bit shaken up because I just got spammed with a bunch of them from someone I've never spoken to before or even seen around... I reported the messages already, but I'm wondering if this is something that happens a lot?

Two things.
1.  No, it's not that common.
2.  *Hugs.*

You'll be good.  I think a lot of sadism comes from people just being angry at the world in general, and we're a site for, at least in part, sadomacism, so we probably attract more than a fair number of angry people.  Reporting, then avoiding, is probably the best solution when you encounter one of them in such a manner online.

I know that I can’t apologize for others, but I’m sorry that you ladies have to deal with such unnecessary crap.

Mmm... sweaty stuff...  :D

BTW, CuriousLord, your avatar looks really freaking familiar... is that Artemis's human form or Prince Diamond from Sailor Moon?

CuriousLord -> RE: A bit shaken up... (9/27/2007 5:57:24 PM)

He's "Sessomura", or however it's spelt, from Inuyasha (also however it's spelt :P).

Hi, sorry, I meant the op.  Maybe I am doing something wrong when I respond?  I just go to post.

MzMia -> RE: A bit shaken up... (9/27/2007 8:26:51 PM)

I hate to say it, but it is fairly common.
Especially from someone that you rejected.
Once, you see that it is a mean spirited email, don't even
bother to read all the nastiness.
I am glad you reported IT, but the IT that sent it will open
up another account.
Don't let it get you down.

laurell3 -> RE: A bit shaken up... (9/27/2007 8:53:31 PM)

I don't know how common threatening is (afterall they don't know who you are, threats shouldn't carry much weight), but I have had people make new profiles to keep harassing me after I've ended offensive lines of email and blocked them.  It's oddly easy to tell it's the same person.  I wouldn't sweat it too much, that's probably what they want.

Maybe you treated someone really bad, and you were not even aware or forgot the next moment....I mean why else would someone randomly send you notes like that? Just my two cents.

what? For the same reason countless send the "bend over cunt and I'm going to rape your ass" emails....there are alot of nuts here.  There's not necessarily a cause and effect.

Send him back a form letter staing how excited his email made you and you would love to hear more of the same and look forward to hearing back from him.
Then block him...should give him some quality time with himself trying to figure it out.

Then he should find someone who consents to engage in it with him and not send nasty emails out to people who haven't given him permission to do so. That crosses the line from consent to abuse albeit written rather than physical in nature.

I like to print the emails out, take a cathartic dump, then wipe My beautiful ass with them. Kinda like a trophy.

Love,
GM
