It's not inconceivable that Jenna received a crash course in the native language before she went there, learning enough to get by on. Spanish is taught in schools here, you know. I speak basically no Spanish, but I can walk into a Spanish-speaking patient's room at the hospital where I work, say good morning, ask their name, tell them I'm there to draw their blood, tell them I'm finished, say thank-you and wish them a nice day. Just because you didn't see an interpreter on tv, it doesn't mean there wasn't one around. There are people living in our country at this very moment who speak no English, yet they manage. And no, they don't take interpreters everywhere they go, trust me. If you've ever seen children of different nationalities playing together on a playground, you've noticed that they still manage to communicate and play together. Personally, I think Jenna has a lot of guts stepping into the public eye knowing the world hates her father, and knowing she's going to receive a lot of small-minded and petty criticism. I don't think I'd be that gutsy.
