Status: offline 		That's not enough information to respond to, do you have a site link where you brought it from?  Does your partner have any apnea, asthma or other breathing or sleeping problems? Is he going to be in a static position or moving?

Status: offline 		The problem I have found with insertable gags is in certain positions you can end up restricting breathing.  It's easy to indicate the issue and correct it when you are both awake, not so easy when you are asleep.

Status: offline 		The general thought on gags is that they are not safe to sleep in at all this is due to the fact that when you open your mouth that wide your soft pallet can close the opening of your nasal cavity into your mouth making breathing hard to impossible even if there is nothing there obstructing it just by the sheer position of the jaw. Of course this is a matter of comfort between you and your sub and it would be a matter of RACK, I'm not saying don't don't just be aware and maybe try a nap with you monitoring or something first, and a lot of awake time. Any gag can be dangerous even to those that are fully awake especially if they are not watched closely. Sleeping with one should be considered very dangerous and potentially life threatening. Is the possibility of death a hard limit for you both?

Status: offline 		No gag should be used during sleep. There is too much risk of aspiration of saliva, choking, or respiratory difficulties. Number one rule of domination-We don't break our toys (bend and mutilate-maybe-but never break)

Status: offline 		you should NOT sleep with a gag.  All gaged subs and slaves should be watched for distress.  I worked for a social service agency many years ago.  It used to be a practice to stuff and tape closed an inmate's mouth to prevent them from biting and screaming.  However, several deaths and near deaths from reflux and subsequent suffocation caused the practice to be discontinued.  It is the Master's responsibility to ensure that the sub/slave is not in distress.  You can't do that with your eyes closed.

Status: offline 		girl has read that no one should be left alone when tied up, she thinks gagged would be the same idea. If you want your sub/slave to be safe, you should be watching when they are restrained, however you choose to do so. Gagging is pretty darn restraining, since it pretty much always inhibits natural breathing.

And then I would like to tell you I too have a Penis Gag, and love using it....though just for my own pleasure now. I would never sleep in it though, of all Gags I have. It is very easy to choke if your not use to it, and can be a real big problem. At times when I don't use it too, I have to get my mind and "LITTLE MOUTH" ready to take it in. Who knows what this might do while sleeping.

Do you really think it is ok to leave a gagged person unattended, regardless of  whether they are awake or asleep?

You are entering into very dangerous territory here - any obstruction of  the nose or mouth must be closely supervised at all times. And with a penis gag the chances of the sub retching and being unable to expel what comes up are quite high, especially if he is on his back.

So - the answer is no, it is not safe - rather the reverse!

(I really detest that thing, btw)
Master has me wearing it about an hour a day to get used to it, and I am glad when that time is up. I actually put it on too tight once, and almost got sick while the gag was still firmly attached. A very scary situation.
