I've had a problem with something getting shoved in that shouldn't have been, hurt like hell for a day or two then went away, if it's really bothering you, you should probably consider going to a doctor.

Sounds like you could be having an allergic reaction to the toy. Try benadryl by mouth, a normal dose, and a new tube of hydrocortisone cream (New because the cream will be sterile). If you start having signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis (such as tingling in the throat, mouth neck or tounge swelling, difficulty breathing, dizzyness, hives), call 911 immediately Consider using a non-jelly toy, such as rubber or latex.

It's the chemical leaching out of the toy....wash well.

this sounds like my reaction to all latex, rubber and gummi products... they are all going to be an allergy, not just one!  i suggest only using polyurethane and vinyl items from now on.  there are loads of vinyl dildos and vibrators in all colors, shapes and sizes - way easier to find these days than back in the early 90's when my allergies went nuts!  it is easy to develop such allergies instantly, even after years, or because of, years of use of rubber products.  for gloves and condoms, do change to polyurethane too, as they will eventually become a bother if used continually.

it can of course be chemical sensitivities making the reaction worse too... i have a problem with them as well and they are hard to avoid in this day and age!

Jelly Rubber: Is your toy translucent with lots of bubbles? Does it smell like a chemical factory? If so, you have Jelly in your collection. Jelly is PVC with a phthalate softener. Now PVC is perfectly safe- your water pipes are PVC and it meets all food grade standards. It's the phthalate that really makes Jelly a problem. Upon exposure you may find your intimate parts enflamed and burning and you may have a discharge that is very similar to a yeast infection. The only safe way to enjoy jelly is to put a condom over it.

Like everyone else said, take a couple of Benedryl and throw the jelly toys away. You'll be okay in a couple of days. You may however want to buy a cheap pair of latex gloves and try them to see if you have a latex allergy also. Allergic people tend to be allergic to more than one thing.

More and more of the jelly toys are becoming phthalate free, or at least the big companies(cal exotics, doc johnson) are listening to the complaints and re making them, the best advice as  posted already is to throw them away ( I use condoms on my favourites I dont want to throw away), if you have an allergy, or use a condom...polyurethane if  allergic to latex.  other alternatives are hard plastic.,glass, acrylic, or 100% silicone, specially the medical grade silicone, (they are a tad more expensive but the prices are coming down slowly).
There is an excellent article on the materials used in dildos and vibes and can be found at http://www.babeland.com/shoppingadvice/sextoymaterials and  has a link to a page regarding phthalates
Best wishes
Lucy

One thing I'd add to the above: if you want to enjoy jelly safely by putting a condom over it, make sure you buy non-latex condoms. Latex condoms will most likely cause you problems if jelly does.

Also, if the toy is extra large, buy larger-sized condoms. Regular condoms will not fit over a jumbo toy. (Yes, I know this from experience...*blushes*)

Alergies have a nasty habit of poping up when you least expect it too. my company just got sued for giving someone an asprin and she nearly died and she had taken one less than a week before that and had no alergic reaction.

Phin that is true cause one time I broke out with hives for an entire month, and nobody knew what the hell caused it or  why or if it'd ever come back again.
