i have been using the internet for about 12 years now and yesterday i could not get any web site to come up, nor could i get any messenger program to work.  This has never  happened before ever.  i figured my wires were loose or disconnected so i checked them all, still nothing.  Then i figured perhaps they lost my payment and shut me down. This morning i try again and i have access to the internet. my question is: Can the entire internet go down?  Was it a problem with my internet provider?   Anyone else have internet connection problems last night?

Sounds like it was your ISP, we sometimes have localised problems here and anyone with the same ISP in the area loses internet connection.... it's very annoying and normally when you are waiting on an important email [:D]

I am going to agree with givemyall. However, you might get a different theory from some of the conspiracy theorists......it's all Osma I tell ya!!! Or that evil CIA.......or some such bs.[:D]
