That's what I thought, all. Just curious.

Again, as in my previous post on this topic, i DO NOT beleive that b/c you're a woman, you need to obey, I was just curious if any women here thought so, that's all.

My question is answered.

nikkilynn -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (7/28/2005 3:14:38 PM)

Submission is a choice and I choose to obey Daddy. If i don't, I know i will be punished. The ouchies, they hurt and the stingies do worse.[X(]

ItzKat -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (7/28/2005 3:35:53 PM)

It is a choice. That old subserviant woman attitude is what they are suffereing with in Afganistan and such.

In the rest of my life, I run my household, I run the family, I run my career. But when the ropes come out, he runs my experiences.

to each his or her own...

Superman42280 -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (7/29/2005 7:54:54 PM)

Beleive it or not I found a female sub on here who believes all women need to obey. She believes in limiting their education, rights, etc....

I won't reveal who it is so I dont cause a problem for her, but I found it accidentally while looking through profiles for fun....

I guess women like that still do exist. Again, not saying I agree at all with her philsophy, I want a woman to obey because she DESIRES to obey, but I just think that POV is interesting, that's all.

I wasn't going to jump in on this because I didnt want to be smacked for my views but.. ya know.. sometimes I just can't help myself.

There are lifestyles that believe that it is a man's place to obey.. and that women were meant to be ontop.
There are also lifestyles that believe that submissiveness in a woman is genetically selected for and that all women were meant to be submissive to men.
Each is an extreme viewpoint but their followers do believe it. I happen to fall into the second group. I do believe that for a woman, being submissive is a natural thing caused by genetic selection over a period of time stretching over the timeline of humanity as a whole. I know very few people on this site share that view.. and thats okay too. To each their own.

nena,

Nothing wrong with thinking that way -- everyone is entitled to their opinion, so long as they're happy and not hurting anyone else

to answer your question....slaves are in a far better class than women... women come a dime - a - dozen. Slaves come one in a million. a slave knows how to respect a man whom is their Master.. women that are in the vanillia world will wipe their feet all over a man. only slaves obey ..

daddysprop247 -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (8/14/2005 11:03:17 AM)

that woman is not alone in her beliefs. not that i necessarily believe that "all" men or "all" women should be one way or the other, but i have always believed in a natural order to things, and i do view Dominance and submission as Male and female traits, respectively. i do believe in anomalies, so i believe that a woman can be naturally Dom, and a man naturally sub, but i view such people to be rare exceptions, and not a part of the natural order. before i ever heard of the D/s lifestyle, i used to wish that i could live and find love in a country/society where such gender roles were considered the norm and expected, so that i could have the freedom to not only be myself without being part of some fringe segment of society, but where i could also be amongst those who understood that Dominance and submission is about who you are and not about what you choose to be. it's not a view i shout from the rooftops because i know the flack it will get, but it's what i believe in my heart.

ManOwner -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (8/14/2005 11:22:28 AM)

On b.com once, I read a guy's profile that said something like "I believe that women are meant to submit." I wrote him an email that said, "Hi, I was just wondering why you think women are meant to submit."

Never got a reply.

krikket -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (8/14/2005 12:28:38 PM)

When i was an active submissive, i my purpose was to please and serve my Master, and a big part of that (for us) was for me to obey him with informed consent. Anyone else got what my kidlets call "The Look"...

nuff said..lol

In my life now, while i miss having that in my life, there hasn't been anyone yet that stirs my inner belly to "obey".

cheers

I guess some people think a woman's place is to obey, but I've never thought so, and don't think that really has much to do with BDSM, either. BDSM isn't about who is supposed to obey whom, nor is it about the way the world is supposed to work. It's about being who you are, no more and no less. Someone who is born submissive is fulfilled by submitting. Anyone else is not.

nella -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (8/14/2005 12:31:01 PM)

i belive women more often are submissive then men, but all should get to deside for themself what role they want in life.

Is submission a choice for the individual or do any females here think that it's a woman's place to obey?

i obeyed my Master and i obey my Lord...all the rest..

That all women should obey?

not in this lifetime..lol

Again, not saying I think this, just curious what the women subs/slaves on here think....

BlouLady -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (8/14/2005 3:25:34 PM)

I actually believe on a religious level that it IS the woman's place to obey.That's why it's important to pick the mate. Men and women are opposites for a reason. I believe in a lot of "old fashion" ideas.I think the world in general was a better place when we all believed in the same basic values. These days it's everyone for them selves,chivilry is in hiding and we're heading straight for hell. Just my opinion.

ChereeAmoor -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (8/15/2005 10:23:15 AM)

Ok, this was hilarious to consider - should all women obey because they are women. Hilarious!

Both of my Masters are ardent feminists, both of them believe that women can do anything they want to do, personally and professionally. Both of them also open doors for me, light my cigarettes, help my on with my coat, and get very tense whenever anyone is so much as rude to me!

Submission is a choice. Religion has its place in life, but I personally cannot get behind ANY formal dogma that isn't user-friendly.

...But we -never- all beileved in the same basic values. Well, perhaps if you take it back to -very-very- early humans, but even then, belief systems all over the world are and were widely varient.

Personally, I think that once we are able to break down societal systems that reinforce and prividleg dominance/submission/strenght/weakness based on gender we'll see a dramatic change in the way individuals behave. I believe, very strongly, that we as a peopel are taught and disicplined into roles that have been made 'appropriate' for our genders.

NakedOnMyChain -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (8/16/2005 3:37:36 AM)

Can I get a "Hell No!"? Women are most certainly equal to men, and as such, can decide for themselves what they'd like. And, Superman, you really ought to stop asking so many inane questions. You can't possibly be this ignorant.

hardheavyhand -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (8/17/2005 12:26:02 PM)

Flame on....lol

quietkitten -> RE: A woman's place to obey? (8/17/2005 3:03:13 PM)

I obey one person, because I choose to obey. It has nothing to do with my gender, it has to do with my personality.
I know many strong women and many strong men. I know just as many of each who are submissive and obedient. This applies in the Vanilla world as much as it applies here.
