Older the Bull, stiffer the horn...

WisconsinOwner -> RE: Being old problem (10/5/2007 12:57:08 AM)

I don't post often and I will admit to not reading most of this thread, but the last post just caught me and I couldn't resist a statement ... why would one attend a munch?  certainly not to meet people, as the few I have attended the people there were so ... off the wall dumb I could hardly stand it, but then I"m wierd I don't appreciate involving a waitress or anyone else for that matter in my lifestyle choices... Why would one attend events?  I find them distasteful for the same reason... the last one I was at some dumb woman was so excited her daughter was turning eighteen she could introduce her to the lifestyle ... WHY would one do that to their child???  No I agree online isn't always the best place to find "real" people, but they certainly are not out at munches and events either. I personally stick to online sources as I obviously can't stand most people involved in the "scene".  I live a lifestyle ... I don't go out on weekends and "play".  As with anything in this lifestyle whether its age, weight, sexual orientation or something else, it takes time and patience ... something so many of us are lacking.   There really are people out there looking for those with experience and ability who live a lifestyle and don't play ... patience.

Ok DV you caught me. This post was in responce to another post where a sub complained about being a BBW and also being old. She got flammed for posting it. You people have been great on your replies on here. For the record I am older than most on here. I do not have a problem meeting women any age as some on here can attest to. I don't think that age is much a factor as attitude is. If you have an age limit good for you. My belief is that if you are going to be on here have an Open mind. One more thing about another subject. Seems a lot on here flame mentors. Isnt answering these post a form of Mentoring?

Yes, this "old" thing is a real problem these days. 65 and over... off to the ice floes with 'em! [:D]

Being "old" was never a problem for me.  I was always attracted to the idea of my domme being older than me - than in a way, she should be because older meant more experience and more respect.  And it worked out great when we were together.  So I have no problem at all with an older dominant.  I liked it actually.  Although I don't see why I couldn't serve someone younger as well, as it's really about compatibility more than age.

I have entirely too many younger men in my life.  I have four boys.  The oldest is 21.  Between them and all their friends who visit here, after spending gawdawful amounts of time with the 20's and teen crowd, I'm CRAVING mature interaction.  Guys my oldest son's age, are just not attractive to me (21 - 29).  I can't look at them and think - ooo I could just (insert BDSM option here).  Men in their 30's come closer, but often there is still something missing.  Knowing myself, knowing what works for me, I accept that older men just do it for me.  I might toss my son's 21 year old friend a beer and spend the evening laughing at his antics, or even enjoying his occaisional glimpses of insight - but a physical and emotional attraction has never been there with any of them.  Am I not open minded enough to see beyond ones age?  Hell if  I know.  That may or may not be the case.  I dont know, and I don't care to analyze it.  Until one of them rocks my world and sends it spinning off axis, it quite frankly remains a none issue for me.
