Dear Tech Support: Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity, such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help! Thanks, A Troubled User. (KEEP READING)

REPLY: Dear Troubled User: This is a very common problem that men complain about. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once Installed! You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony-Child Support. I recommend that you keep Wife1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation.

The best course of action is to enter the command C:..APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0 ! WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system. Best of luck, Tech Support

You should have bought the Slut 9.8. It still has a few technical issues but has been thoroughly developed.

I believe uninstalling Wife and replacing with OpenSlut.org would be a valid solution. AND it's open source...

The problem with OpenSlut.org is that it has a limited port allowance most people demand at least three ports these days to plug things into.

Idunno - the linux verson of OSo is allowing me full addressing of ports 00 to FF...

Might be the fact that you're trying to run it under Wife 1.0... damn OS, always trying to tell you what you can and can't jack into...

Damn why is my slut not allowing me access to all ports? I’m not very technically minded.

OK, I'm a mac user, so wife 1.0 doesn't run natively (it's true. most people use either Boyfriend:Longterm edition, or Significant Other service provider.) Now, I have tried to install slut 1.9, and had major problems with it. For a start, it was a pre-owned copy, and without registering, you've got a virus risk there. Also, even though the box and discs said 1.9, the about window revealed it to be 1.7, I know other people who have tried version 2.5, and found, once running, it's auto'd up to something closer to 4.0 (a program I don't have any serious issue with, but does tend to run in fat32, and has looser port connection).

I have a solution to all this, install gang 3.6. Wife 1.0 will nag and balk at it, but when you introduce Gun 3.57 the system will stabilize, although this may be temporary.

There is also a commonly known program ; Woohoo 2.1, also known as orgasm 1.7. Once run, Wife runs just fine usually, if it doesn't it automatically installs Alimony 18.5, Childsupport 2.4 and Headache 5.5.

However, Wife 1.0 will run fine in the background of you install the utitily Beer 5.5%. So always try that before installing Gun 3.57.

Dear Sir,

Unfortunately you are running a closed-source application. Like many closed source apps this one has DRM (Dicking Rights Management) built in at its core. This means that you can try to install things like jewelry 5 and DRM will leave you wondering what you spent your money on. Wife 1.0 will end up costing you time, money, and leave you feeling frustrated.

Consider instead an open-source choice like KinkySub 2.16.3. Open source means that you can learn what is really going on "under the hood" and it doesn't come with DRM. You can still run all the same programs that you ran on the closed-source Wife 1.0 except now you find that you probably have a much higher level of satisfaction. Also there's a growing and dedicated community of developers working on such apps as Flogging 3.0, CornerTime 1.26, GoodGirlReward 1.8.1, and the award winning MeltingLook 5. Not only have these apps been made to work with Wife 1.0, they'll probably run on HubbyOS, Office Affair distributed work clusters, and even the BoyToy handheld gaming platform.  KinkySub also supports a "hands-on" user interface and - if you study the manuals and massage the config files just right - KinkySub can be made to work with more than one users at once.  Worth the effort of becoming an advanced user, if you ask me!  KinkySub is available all over, for free, provided you can figure out how to install it and make it yours.  The major drawback to KinkySub is that you have to deal with the "command line" most of the time which can require knowing strange jargon like

unzip ; strip ; touch ; grep ; finger ; mount ; fsck ; more ; yes ; yes ; fsck ; umount ; sleep

The learning curve is a little steep at first. The good news is that once you become accustomed to the command line you can improve the performance of KinkySub until it far outshines Wife 1.0.

Sincerely,

Tech Support.
