Has anyone heard or used the term unicorn in the BDSM community and if so what does it mean to you or what do you think it means?

I have no idea what it is referring to, but I’ll take a guess. The unicorn being some thing that is hard to find. Not sure what that is.

Waiting for LA to post the links that well clearly state it.

It would be helpful to know the context in which it was used.

The only reference I've seen to the term "unicorn" in relation to BDSM is to mean that which appears to be mythical or does not exist.

Example: Finding a service only male slave is like finding a unicorn.

Ive seen it, though i thought it was a reference to a mythical creature too
Though it remindes me of the comic with the id with his moms dildo on his head yeling "Look ma im a rhino!"

BDSM terminology... unicorn. You wouldn't happen to mean an " eunuch’s horn", would you?

Pronunciation varies when gagged.

i have heard of it used in poly forums in reference to a young bi poly sub female...what they usually neglect to say is that she has to be skinny and have perky tits too....

Pretty much like chellekitty called it:

If you read the article you will see that it's not that young, bi, poly subs are called unicorns....it's that they are saying that they are hard to find. (Actually, I thought the article was pretty hard on people seeking a third, especially if it's for kink purposes) Just like MrD said about male service only subs.

I'm not sure why some seem to think they are so rare, in the case of the young female subs.....it appears to me that being bi, poly and submissive is almost at a level that could be called trendy.

Oooooh!  I get to have a shiny new label that I never even knew about! <peels off stickies bi, poly, sub, female, skinny, perky... replaces with unicorn>  I'm all about efficiency ;)

1) A male with a perpetual erection, either because of no orgasm or no refractory period;

2) A male Dom who is only interested in "virgin" subs new to the "Scene."

Plus, I am sure, any number of other definitions.

A sexually empowered transexual woman (male-to-female) that still has her penis. A rare mystical creature only rumored to exist but highly sought after. They are desired by straight men who enjoy anal sex, lesbian women who enjoy vaginal intercourse and homosexual men that more identify as queer than gay. They are further made in short supply due to their own body issues affecting sexual confidence and societal pressure to have full genital surgery.

The term is also used in the "swinger's" groups to describe an unattached female of any orientation.

There you go.  I've only ever heard it used here, and used to mean "a fantasy ideal that everyone wants but can't really be found."

I have heard it on a poly site I used to be on. Again, as said before, it was a very common term for a single bi female. Typically a unicorn is what a lot of poly couples are seeking. So named because they are almost as rare as a unicorn.
