The problem with those butt plug tails is that dog tails are pretty easy to portray (the super short ones, at least), fox tails are simple, pig tails are pretty easy, and bunny tails are very easy...but cat tails are not so simple! Cat tails are very expressive, and to have a cat taileither just hang there limply or stic straight up all the time...well, that isn't a very good portrayal of a cat tail.
I just bought a costume cat tail around Halloween time, then pulled the stitches open, put an undone wire hanger in it, then shaped it a little until I was satisfied, sewed the tail back up with leather straps sewn into the end, and tied it onto my leater body harness.
I'm going to get some black leather and make my own next...sorry, I 'm a leather kitty <_<
