i hate hate. Hate is born of fear most often.   i don't understand the mentality of some muslims but that doesn't mean every muslim is the same.

....i don't understand the mentality of some christians, but it doesn't mean that all christians are intolerant. i don't understand the mentality of some republicans/democrats, but it doesn't mean that all people with an active interest in politics are insensitive dolts. i don't understand the mentality of quite a lot of people......i'm sure some people don't understand where i'm coming from either.....but it doesn't mean i'm right/they're wrong or vice versa.
Difference is good...hating difference is just, well, not very far sighted.

I might have been Christians putting up the flyers. But it just as well could have been Jews, Buddists, Taoist, Hindus or Homosexuals, all infidels in the eyes of  allah and all mostly hated by the islamist world who, sad to say, controls most of the Muslim world

And I don't understand those suppossedly "open-minded" people who throw a hissy fit when someone expresses an opinion they don't agree with.

Of course, if anyone bothered to read the original newspaper article, it is clear that these "hate" posters were a satire on the Young America's Foundation at George Washington which is hosting a right-wing, anti-Islam "week" of events later this year (the Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, as it is called).  The flyers suggested that anyone who "Hates Muslims like we do" contact YAF-GW and purportedly originated from a non-existent student group, Students for Conservativo-Fascism Awareness (note the linguistic similarities?).
 
Not especially funny, but very successful guerilla theater.  Absolutely protected by the First Amendment, and, for my money, calling a spade a spade -- or do you think the "Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week" is a love fest?

Having not only read the article, but several more about it, I realize that. And no, it isn't very funny, attaching someone's  name to something they did not create.
 
I wonder how much time and effort the flyer-creaters have spent generating outrage at those Islamists that do indeed commit violence against innocents.....

Well,  not very "bright" college students then.
I'm not real big on college degrees unless you intend to specialise in something like medicine, engineering etc.
I honestly can't tell you how many waiters/ waitresses I've met in this area with "degrees" in sociology, psychology, general studies etc.
And don't even get me started on Starbuck's workforce!
I don't think those kids accomplished anything with that sign other than to demonstrate how fuckin' ignorant they are.
Think about it, would you hire any of them for your company?
Just spoiled "priviledged" kids.
