How safe is oral sex? Many guys say they will use condoms for sex but want it bare for sucking them. Is there a risk of getting STD's or HIV thru' sucking?

mistoferin -> RE: Oral Sex (10/13/2007 8:58:43 AM)

Yes, you can contract STD's through oral sex.

imtempting -> RE: Oral Sex (10/13/2007 9:10:54 AM)

Any time the penis comes into contact with a female organ (mouth,anal,vagina) there is a chance of infection. Even with some diseases just holding the penis can spread the infection..

Getting a fellatio with a condom on you may aswell not even be getting one.

Fellatio is not as fun with a condom, but you have to play safe especially if you are playing with more than one person.  Like stated earlier there are risks to any sexual act that is "unprotected" but the risk goes up exponentially when you actually start taking the cum in your mouth and swallowing.  There are risks really in anything you do, so the choice is yours.
Good luck

The safest form of sex is written sex.

Is that like cyber sex ?

Lordandmaster -> RE: Oral Sex (10/13/2007 10:21:18 PM)

It's the opposite of oral sex.

Sigh...it's not as funny when you have to explain it.

new4U2use -> RE: Oral Sex (10/13/2007 11:11:40 PM)

Thanks for all the advice. I doubt any guys will agree to have BJ's with condoms. So be it... I am learning to be a sub but I prefer to be a safe sub and not end up with something I dont want.

GhitaAmati -> RE: Oral Sex (10/14/2007 7:38:07 AM)

the new polyurethane comdoms, the durex avanti, have from what ive found the least unpleastant taste, and are thinner than most latex condoms, most guys Ive asked say they feel better than the latex...the flavored ones are sold as novelty only and do not guarentee to stop the transmission of STDs.

bottombob -> RE: Oral Sex (10/14/2007 7:44:03 AM)

safe oral sex is when your on different sides of the room and you say, fuck you and your partner says fuck you too. thats the only safe oral sex

Be sure to wear rubber gloves.

Really your best bet is to research how STD's are transmitted and learn from that.  Until you know all of theinformation you cannot be expected to make an informed choice and as a consenting adult it would be your choice.  If he wants one bad enough .. he will wear a condom, but you need to protect yourself.  Do some research, get some knowledge and know what you are dealing with, then decide what you want to do.
Good luck

Applying lubrication to the penis before applying the condom will improve sensation for the man.  Any time any *infected person's* body parts come in contact with *anyone's mucus membranes or broken skin* there is a risk of infection.  This varies widely depending on the specific disease.

It's quite possible for an infected person performing oral sex to infect the recipient of the oral sex.  I would be very, very hesitant about performing oral sex on a person who did NOT insist on barrier protection without lab results and a committed, fluid-bonded relationship.

So here is a tip on how to get a condom on a guy for a blow job without even asking.  Unwrap the condom before you have the date, stick it in your bra or somewhere easy to get too.  Make sure you remember which side is up.

Before you put your mouth on him, slip the condom into your mouth.  Hold the condom in front but against your teeth with your lips.  When you slide his cock into your mouth, hold the rim of the condom in place with your teeth and suck his cock into it and your mouth at the same time.  If he is excited at the time, he won’t even notice you slipped a glove on his love for a while… sometimes, they don’t know until after they cum.

I have to disagree.  I'm a guy and if my only two choices are BJ with a condom or nothing, I'm going to pick BJ with a condom every time.  I'm willing to bet that most guys will make the same choice.

Any person with cold sores on their mouths (active or dormant) has Herpes Simplex Virus I ( a different strain HSVII is the genital herpes virus).  However HSVI on the mouth can be transmitted to the genital area and there is no cure.  A huge percentage of the population are actually carriers of this virus alone, (I'd have to find my source again, but I think it was 80-90%) whether or not they have had outbreaks.   The condom doesn't only protect the one performing oral sex, but protects the recipient as well.

A blood test for the antibodies of HSV, even without an outbreak, can indicate if a person is a carrier of this virus.

malloves69 -> RE: Oral Sex (11/6/2007 5:31:54 PM)

a hand job with no condom is better then a blow job with a condom as far as im concerned ..thats like doing daty using a dental dam ..if you have to do it that way why bother ??? mal
