Just my two cents, but perhaps if You were to take a new condom out of the package and lay the ring over it, you ought to be able to kind of roll the condom around the ring, then either slide it on the slave's cock that way(assuming it is a cock ring and not a cock and ball ring) or simply cut the tip to open a hole at the other end and then slide it on.
For clarification, imagine a Hula-Hoop and a large black trash bag. If you can roll it tight enough, when you are done, most of the bag will be rolled around the hula-hoop except for the bottom which will be stretched tightly like a drum skin. So then if you cut a hole in that drum skin, you are left with a plastic-wrapped hula-hoop.
Alternatively, depending on whether you are a pro or not, perhaps have a small nameplate or tag attached to the cockring with the slave's "pet" name and have one for each slave. And keep them in seperate zip lock bags when storing. I say pro because if they are paying You, there should be no problem spending a few extra bucks for the tags/plates.
But I do believe that, with perhaps a couple exceptions, there isn't much you can do to disinfect leather. One because it is biological and "things" can actually live in it. And two because it is no longer living tissue, certain products might degrade it, or even cause skin problems on your subs.
