the girls and i witnessed the little boy who was shot and killed yesterday afternoon ...still a bit shaken up over it.

Ohgosh all of you saw him get shot? Thats horrible, I hope your UMs are okay emotionally? Wow what a thing to witness.  I can't even imagine trying to explain things like that to a kid, especially since I can't even explain it to myself.

they were really shaken up (so was i ) when the gun shots occurred luckily we were able to duck and cover around the building.  i feel so sad and hurt for the mother of the 10yr old UM who died at the scene.  i'm pissed off at those who couldn't settle a fight without use of violence and guns.

after talking to the police, i took them home ...sat, cried and talked about it.  my oldest is still bothered by it however my youngest appears to be ok about it ...i've scheduled a group session for next week.

Gun fire seems to happen ANYWHERE in Chicagoland.
