Two part question here:

Would someone share what the orgasm is like for a prostatectomy patient?  (or even ifit is possible)
Does this surgery cause a shortening of the penis? (I know someone swears wears it did!)

The shooter -  "oooh ahh splat!"  the target  " Oh God my eye oh it burns"
thats pretty basic but I think you get the point,
I dont have a clue but I couldn't resist

My slave is a nurse and she tells me that you cannot orgasm, but the good news is your penis doesn't shrink.

Usually, if nerve sparing surgery can be performed, such that the man can still achieve an erection, orgasm can occur, but there is no ejaculation.

This from a paper entitled: "Orgasm after radical prostatectomy"  (Search for it online -- note it is amost a decade old, and newer surgical techniques probably are resulting in better experiences than listed here.)  Nerve sparing techniques are improving and I expect results are improving.  I also suspect that meds like Cialis improve some men's ability to attain an erection.

Of twenty men queried in the noted paper, all lost some erectile ability. Fourteen of the twenty could still orgasm.  Four out of twenty felt that orgasm was as good as before the operation.  All reported missing the "point of inevitability."  Seven of the fourteen complained that the orgasmic sensation was weakened.  And seven of the fourteen experienced involuntary loss of urine during orgasm.  For five of this group, this was so distressing that they avoided having any sexual contact with their partners.

I don't believe that a prostatectomy causes shortening of the penis.  However it is possible (though I have not heard of it) that the cancer has spread into the corpus cavernosum (the spongy tubes that fill with blood to cause an erection) and if a section had to be removed, this would shorten the penis.

A comment on my experience.  Because of a sgnificantly enlarged prostate, i had a procedure termed TURP (i.e., transurethral resection of the prostate).  A device with fiber optic viewing and a heated wire is inserted into the urethra and the surgeon (a urologist in my case) cuts out pieces of the prostate to reduce it to "normal" size.  In my case, i am left with what is termed retrograde ejaculation -- i.e., ejaculation goes into the bladder.  Erections are not a problem, just barely any discharge.  When i urinate, the protate fluid (and any semen it might have picked up) exits from the bladder.  This is a common side effect of a TURP.

FYI -- i was fortunate -- all biopsies were negative for cancer.

I too had an enlarged prostate and had a TURP.  Erections are as before.  Arousal is as before.  Climaxing is a bit different, but very satisfying still.  Ejaculation is basically non existent, rarely a drop or two comes out.  Just think, nothing for the Woman to taste or swallow....no mess to clean up....there are good points.
