Has anyone noticed a decline in Google search?

How about a decline in google as a whole?  Things have been going downhill steadily for the last year and a half.

I think they just have their hands in two many projects at once.  Some arenas are getting neglected.
Doubtful they will ever get fixed either.

The search feature is declining. Does anyone know of a better search engine.  For instance- search war crimes. The result is dismal.

I am the type who has always used multiple search engines when trying to find something on the Net. "Ask Jeeves" used to be pretty good until it became simply "Ask". (I think Google owns them now anyway.) I've always liked "AllTheWeb" as it usually seems to turn up a few things Google overlooks or lists 200 pages into a search result. "AltaVista" was the first search engine I ever used and though it rarely comes up with half as many search returns as Google, often many of them will be different material. "Lycos" can be similar in that sense. You could also try "Vivisimo" (AKA "Clusty") as an alternative, it's relatively new and tends to rank results in a different way.

You also have the option of using a search engine that looks at all the results of multiple other search engines and displays them all in one big homogenized return. Examples are "DogPile"  "WebCrawler"  "HotBot" and "MetaCrawler."
