Sounds like thrush - first off.

But it could be a number of problems, but thrush is probably the most likely. If He has it, likelyhood is , you may have too. It can also be transfered into the mouth.

Antibiotics and creams can help treat it. For him, it might be he has strong urine or pain passing pee too. It needs treating for both your sakes. Not nice, but by telling and explaining it to him, you will be giving him a service.

a yeasty smell, isnt a good thing, I certinly wouldnt want to be sucking on it. Is this before or after having sex with you? If so maybe its from you and your forming an infection? Is your dom Intact? I know a yeasty smell with an intact male can be thush. Is there any discharge? That could be a sign of herpes. Either way, I would share your concerns with him, immediatly.

Thrush is another form of yeast infection that you can get in your mouth, throat and apparently on a penis as well. In any type of yeast infection, be it the traditional vaginal type or thrush, both partners need to be treated. Even though it doesn't show on a male the same as it does in a woman, males can still have one and not even know it. The bad part is that they can have a yeast infection and show no symptoms whatsoever, even if you treat yours, then the moment you have sex with him again, you get re-infected.

Make sure you both see a doctor about it. They have these very nice pills now that they can proscribe instead of all that messy cream. 1 dose and you're done.

Yeah, its thrush. Basically a male yeast infection - which he can give to you orally and vaginally. Doesn't really have anything to do with how clean he is. Even Circ'd men get them. Basically, you both will have to be treated. The link Angel left has great info on it.

Do not be embarrassed or feel gross. If you had your blouse open (and weren't supposed to) and I took you aside and told you so you could fix it privately.....

or let you parade around.

Which is the lesser of two evils.

Which one gets a thanks.

Not to belabor the point dark~angel or to hijack this thread (yeah, right) but I think to some large degree that is what keeps STDs on the rise. Someone is embarrassed or unknowledgeable and therefore doesn't give it further thought? What'cha think as we yanks say?

Ashley,

There's no need for embarrassment. Yeast is found naturally on the body - male and female. When circumstances make the yeast grow to harmful amounts, that's called a yeast infection. Sexual transmission of yeast colonies are one cause, but immune suppression and antibiotic use are other things that can result in "spontaneous" yeast infections. He should see a doctor and if he's got a yeast infection, you should see a doctor and ask about treatment too to avoid transmitting it back to him.

More on yeast:
http://www.vhi.ie/hfiles/hf-328.jsp

If it's not a yeast infection, what he eats can influence the way he smells in general and the way his semen tastes. Or the smell could indicate poor hygiene - ick. Now that would be embarrassing.

another thing it can be is candida, another form of yeast infection only it is an internal thing and can cause you to smell yeasty, everyone has a certain amount of it in their system that is healthy, but due to overuse of anibiotics and sugars and starches it becomes out of balance, yes need to see a doctor, a med is out there for it and than a diet free of sugars both natural and unnatural, and free of starches and such will help it bring it back into balance, I had a vanilla boyfriend who had it and just hugging him after sex was a chore it was so out of wack in him, don't know if he ever got it fixed either. Just my opinion and another way to look if the thrush isn't the case.

i think you are right Mnottertail. Though it should be very silly as there are alot of free clinics out there to go and get tested at. Heck, i love the things. Catch a boyfriend cheat? Go get checked! Heck i drag my boyfriends down to the clinic. Personally when it comes to STD's i think they can all be dealt with except herpes. GOD i hate herpes. Ya know that stuff NEVER goes away and 70% of ppl that are infected are infected when the other person isnt Having a BREAK OUT? And unfortunetly, alot of people dont know that.

i tend to ENJOY getting tested = ) Its like a bill of health for me. With the disease that runs rampant in todays society and as i feel being surrounded by it, its nice to say i've escaped. And oddly, i've been with Master for a year and havent been tested and i feel dirty. Like its been toooooooooo long. Missed my 6month check. Feeling prolly comes from living in a foriegn land where Hep C runs rampant (yeah swim in the water, get tested; drink the tap water get tested) and then the incidents that have happened.

Oh and about thrush. Atleast its not spread all over your face. Saw a boy once with it, sad thing. And did ya know that if a woman has a yeast infection and breast feeds she can give it to her child.. causing thrush in the mouth?

antibiotics cause yeast infections. Heck a whole lot things cause it. Did ya know you can get a yeast infection in your rear?

And yes all this info is from the encyclopedia of my brain, which was gathered through books or watching others suffer.

Lovely stuff i swear.. and Fangs.. on THIS topic, ignorance is not bliss

No Riot a lot of STD's once you have it you have it, herpies is not the only one that sticks around even through treatment.

There's only one truely curable STD that dr's know of and that's Syphalis
Syphilis is easily and completely curable with antibiotics. .

Please stop trying to give medical advice when you have no idea what you're talking about.

Of the 25 or so infectious organisms that can cause STDs, several are 'curable':

Chancroid
Chlamydia
Gonorrhoea
Syphilis
Trichomoniasis

The rule of thumb is—bacterial STD infections can be cured, viral STD infections cannot.

having had lots of experience myself for most of my life with yeast infections (and having one right now at this moment!), there is actually a lot of shit you have to do to get rid of it - candida is definitely an internal yeast problem - thrush is more external.

for yeast infections, male or female, a product called DIFLUCAN should be taken (prescription from Dr.). if you want this stuff to work, then NO alcohol, (ok, ok - a little dry wine) NO sugar, NO yeast products (ie bread, beer, etc.) should be eaten/drank for at least 2 weeks to give the body a chance to rid itself of it. For thrush, there is a different medicine which i am unsure of at this moment - please see your Dr. but the limit on food/drink is about the same. Yes, BOTH of you require treatment as it gets passed back and forth easily. it also helps to drink an herbal tea to cleanse your bladder which, in turn, cleanses the mouth - try FLORA's Uratonic Herbal Tea.

for COMPLETE riddance of yeast - internal and external - do a yeast/candida cleanse. it will rid your entire body of yeast.

good luck with it and let us know how you do.
