When I was in my late 20's and early 30's, and my three children were young, my sex drive definitely dropped and most nights I was so tired I fell into bed and was happy to have gotten a shower that day, let alone think about sex. I know this was definitely the factor for my lack of interest in sex at that time. Thankfully, as my children grew older and then especially after my divorce and becoming involved in BDSM, my interest and sex drive has soared. I had a hysterectomy almost two years ago and was told that would cause a drop in my sex drive.........but for me, it still has continued to soar and at times, I feel almost insatiable, although yes, lube is often needed more often now.

Like many things in life, there are often cycles. Right now you may get more pleasure and satisfaction from touching and hugging and a year from now, you may be begging your Master to play on a nightly basis.

You are not alone and it certainly can do no harm to get checked out and give you the assurance that nothing is physically wrong. And in the meantime, I have not been in that position before, but I'm certain that I would obey my Master and still continue to have sex as he wished, although I would definitely discuss the situation with him.

Oh God...ES2 just mentioned one thing I really didnt think had that big an effect on it...Stress. That may be the biggest problem. I am a stay at home mom, but even still, thats a huge job. And the most stressful I've ever had. Hmmm.....Maybe once school starts back up, I can work out some sort of schedule better.....Help keep things semi-sane around the house.

Oh good gracious yes! Sex might be one of the best ways to distract and ease stress, but it's also one of the hardest things to get into when you ARE stressed. The boyfriend and I are currently stuck in Nashville as we wait for a transmission to be fixed and get to Austin before I have to leave back for MD on Sunday....stress is high, sex is low!

i am 42 and my sex drive is HIGH. i have been with my Partner/Master for almost 2 years. She has brought out SO much within me. i am even amazed at just how sexual needy i am at times.

Hang in there. Maybe with the right partner.......things will pick up!!

Stress certainly is a problem with libido and for the guys it can cause erectile problems like smoking and diatetes.
