Hi everyone, i thought it might be interesting to share stories of experiences with public nudity, whether in a D/s context or otherwise, for the sake of inspiration, reference or just the fun of it. Besides, 'tis the season for skinny dippings.....

My most recent expedition was on a hike with an old friend. We both love the woods, photography, mountain lakes, and the occasional adventure, so we agreed that to find a secluded lake to dip in and experiment with nude photography. On our hike, we came across a rather stocky man hurriedly putting on his clothes about 25 meters ahead of us.

When we got to the lake, we stripped and started swimming. the weather was beautiful, and the water temperature was perfect. On the other side of the lake there was another man sunbathing, who then got up and disappeared for 10 minutes, only to reappear on a closer rock.

On our way out, we encountered several (dressed) people, whom my friend noted with a discreet eye. He later concluded that we had accidentally stumbled upon an unofficial gay men's nude park, so the fish that nibbled him were probably gay male fish, too, or they were sick of naked gay men like him in their waters.

Anyone else care to share? Please?

Hello,

Im all for nudity, but the issue I have with public nudity really involves it possibly
being a non-consensual scene. All of the people encountering the naked person
are denied the choice of whether or not they want to see it.

I go to a local BDSM club, lots of nude / half nude / etc., people are all wandering
around and I have no issue with that since the front door is locked and only members
who signed consent forms are allowed in.

They have a nude beach local to me here in CA. I have never been, but that works just fine for me. There are signs, and anybody who wanders down there presumably consented to viewing public nudity.

Clear as mud?

I was born nude. Even as a teenager I went to a nudist camp. Here in California we have a few nudist beaches.
I would'nt say I am a nudist. Although I have no issue in the world with nudity. My biggest issue is..how do I plant a hedge tall enough so the people on the second story of their home next door cannot see down into my yard so I can sunbathe nude?

Actually we do a naked jacuzzi romp after my munch each month for anyone who wishes to join.

So, I guess you could say I'm for nudity.

i grew up in a mountainous region on a subtropical island where it was more or less ‘natural’ for people to find secluded nooks to skinny dip in when it got too hot and humid. plus many years of studio art has really lowered my awareness of social norms regarding nudity.... thanks for the reminder.

perhaps i should reword my interest as “inoffensive outdoors nudity” rather than “public” nudity. i tried to look up nude beaches/colonies/resorts on the east coast a few times, and it was really frustrating. most places mentioned appeared to be conventional beaches with lots of naked people, which is fine with me, but i prefer quiet places with more foliage than flesh....

I did not intend to chastise or correct you; it is not my place to do so. Please
do not take what I said that way, if you would be so kind.

You asked for my opinion on a public message board and I expressed it.

I once lived off the land with a few friends, and since my girlfriend was coming over in a
few weeks to stay with me, I wanted to have an all-over tan to, umm, show her. Come to find out that one way to keep campers and public people from staying on the beach we were at was to work on our all-over tans when they were coming on to the same part of the island we were camped (illegally) on.

Guilty as charged, yer Honor.
