Beautiful
Pretty
Lovely
Attractive

I would love to hear your thoughts on this

Eye of the beholder for sure..but I will take a stab with my own definitions..Beautiful: classic, unusual outward appearance matched with an inward beauty of loving grace and caring..
                 Pretty:..The potential for beauty,something or someone that brings a smile to your face..
                  Lovely:Beauty within, mainly a striking feature that can catch the eye..loveable..
                   Attractive:..Catches the eye immediately..potential possible.......

i ask because a man I know described someone as being "not beautiful" but "very pretty" and it made me wonder how do we define those terms for ourselves... .

Status: offline 		I've always felt that pretty and plain are the two sides of 'ordinary'. I haven't the foggiest notion where I came up with that, but I've always thought that objects can be pretty, but a pretty woman is just the better part of ordinary. *shrug*

Easy

Tessy cat is beautiful
Pepper cat is pretty
Theyre both lovely
And under the terms of use of this site, neither are attractive

Though the toms next door may disagree

Status: offline 		the one that stands out for me is 'lovely' - it can denote something deep ie personality or character as opposed to merely the superficial layers of apparent beauty that is skin deep. someone can be outwardly beautiful but not lovely at ALL
