Not to hijack that thread i thought i'd start another.

I'm curious if there is any activity that specifically relieves your stress?
For example as soon as Sir puts a knife to my skin i can feel any stress i have been feeling just melt away.

Do you think there is any reason that this one act works better than another?
For me I think a little like a self harmer who cuts themselves, i feel like my stress is being let out when Sir cuts me.

I wish I did have something.... I finally went to the Dr today to get back on medicine for mood swings(also had them check hormone lvls while they were at it). I hate that I need that shit....I'd much rather have it beaten out of me

Maybe when you explore them, the needles and knives might do it
In the meantime i'm sorry to hear you have had to go back on medication. I know the feeling i was a prozac girl for quite a while.

Tick the above for me!  Knives rock in that sense.  Why does it work?  I really don't know.  Maybe it's an auto reaction knowing if I don't relax, I could make things difficult faced with a blade.  I have a great respect for blades and those that master them.

Face slapping is a big stress buster also for me.  The minute it happens and Darcy delivers it to my face, I just relax.

Of course there are other stress busters like meditation and aromatheraphy and herbals, but face slapping is immediate.

Peace

Yep... this was asked before, only differently. My answer though is the same... a good, ole-fashioned, all out, physical beating

i'm going into month 2 without being able to see Daddy.  (financial issues suck)

i'm doing things to keep my hands busy or i would be self-injuring.  and i have been told EXPLICITLY that i am NOT allowed to deliberately hurt myself.  *sighs*

what helps?  being flogged, knifeplay, having Daddy hold me tightly to him and being told that i DO mean something to him.

I will echo what the.dark and Irishmist wrote. There is something about a physical act of domination that can drain me of stress more times then not and in particular a face slap can go a long way.

I do not know why and I am not masochistic and enjoy objectification and humiliation more but pain inflicted on me just drains my stress.

I could not tell you if it is or not. I have a violent streak in me that simmers; sometimes it's all I can do to control it. It used to be that when it got to much, he and I would just go at each other... no holds barred... just an all out physical beating that neither of us walked away from without some injuries  . It gave me a chance to release all the rage inside on someone who could handle it. The best stress reliever I have ever come across

raven says:
i have some good ways to deal with stress, but if it gets over a certain level, i have to have something really intense and it has to come from outside of me. like going to see a horror movie, or riding a big rollercoaster.

with my Sir, i literally melt when he puts me in any kind of bondage - as soon as i know i can't move, i relax intensely. being blindfolded and even gagged on top of that is heaven, at first i feel very anxious, then i have to force myself to relax deeply. also, just being spanked or paddled hard a few times is enough to calm me in any situation - the sudden pain surprises me, the spreading warmth reminds me to relax and let the warm feeling spread all over. i'm all giddy and happy after a few spankies!

it's the endorphin release after the adrenalin rush that's so relaxing, perhaps?

Well, isn't it true that runners run to relieve stress?  Their brains release dopamine when they run…and, oddly…when we get beat, our brains also release dopamine.

Dopamine is the drug-like hormone that acts so much like heroine, that at least one researcher is known to make the comment “Who knew so many runners were heroine addicts!”…after dissecting brains.  Go figure…

I have to admit…I must get that same kinda high when I do the beating, cuz it’s very much a stress reliever to me.

Beverly

edited cuz I know it's a hormone and not really a drug...per se

Sounds good, especially if it worked, which it did. Sir would never go for that and i'd be like 'oh god i darent hurt you' and 'oh god im sorry Sir if that hurt' lol.

yes i agree...this does it totally for me also...since Ma'am and i are not 24/7, when i do get the opportunity to feel Her touch, even if its just something as small Her touching my face, it will instantly release all the stress from my body

Thanks for the condolences. I tried prozac, me and it didn't get along well. I'm hoping what I was put on today will do the trick. I do know that when my Master has had a rough day He likes to beat me when He gets home from work. I look forward to the today that it can be daily if He feels so inclined
