Isn't Dita just adorable? If you haven't checked her out on Frederick's web site, take a look.

My husband and I saw one of her Burlesque shows in Huntington Beach about 5 years ago and she is just as pretty in person as she is in print...such amazing skin! I just love how she has brought that iconic and just absolutely yummy pinup girl look back into the public's awareness. I'm waiting for 40's and 50's fashion to become mainstream again, wouldn't that be lovely? OK, OK, I know we'd never get the general public to fall for it, but one could hope! I wish I could just buy a retro dress off the rack rather than sew them myself!

Yes, definitely minus the Marilyn Manson thing...he is too creeeeeepy. I find a dead eye so not sexy, not sure how I'd react if hubby put in a white contact. The issue of Playboy that featured her was lovely. The photo of her where it looks like she is a doll that has just been unpacked is rad.

I've seen her ads but never her shows and I'm sorry to say that while she is beautiful, there is nothing that special about her to me. I don't see the fascination with her looks. Perhaps someone can explain it to me because I see her as simply anohter beautiful woman but nothing to get excited over.

Good question! I'll be happy to explain. I love her so much because she is fascinated with the ART of the female form. She has studied the poses and postures of the pinup girls of the past. She has found that stylized beauty of the art of being a pinup that has been slowly lost in the porn industry and she brings beauty and class back to fetish and erotica. She has that certain "it" factor that Bettie Page and Marilyn Monroe had, and Pamela Anderson doesn't. Her burlesque show is fabulous...definitely don't miss on an opportunity to see her live, that is if she's even doing it anymore, I'm not sure if she is.

LOL MsIrish.......women dont do anything for me sexually,but I do have many gigs of pron and admire the nekid body, even more if its in gorgeous lingerie or latex, leather, bondage/fetish/ kink gear, but Ms Dita is my favourite. Ive been a fan for ten years nearly now, since she was doing bondage and her corset/latex shots, tiny tiny waist she gets it down to16 inches, with that long black hair, so 40s, lily white skin, gorgeous bod, complete with beauty spot and flawless face... all her burlesque stuff, fashion/lingerie shots, she played a huge part in bringing back "class" to the strip tease, her fan dance is awesome, and I agree about her burlesque shows and yes she is still doing them, you can see clips on youtube.

I have to agree; I love pin up art, especially Vargas and Olivia de Berardinis. Her work is so playful, sexy, sensual and kinky all at once.

I think pin up girls are beautiful...I like dressing like one! That's cool that you collect pin up art books, and your vanilla friends are nuts for thinking you're nuts...I have some vanilla friends who are female (and straight) that like pin up art.
