Gobble gobble. So for those that haven't family or friends (for whatever reason) to spend the American Thanksgiving day with, what are your plans?

*thinking about "Turkey Day"

well .. I always end up making the Holiday rounds to visit extended family and friends .... and there's No Way you can go with out having to sit down and sample the bounty of their feasts ... so I go about ... snacking my day away ... by the end of it, I'm happily stuffed!! .. lol

But there's NOTHING quite like Holiday / Turkey left overs ... so even though I won't be home for my own feast .... I ALWAYS make an entire traditional Thanksgiving dinner ... so that I can live on the leftovers, and all the dishes "created" from the left overs ... for months!!!
( besides ... I know I'll have people stopping over through the following week or so, who'll need fed up on turkey sandwiches ... stuffing casseroles ... etc etc etc

respectfully

I adore leftover turkey, the things you can do with it are endless! I think I've decided to make my own solo turkey dinner, but I'm still wavering between that and going out to dinner somewhere (if I can find something open, living in a rural area makes that pretty chancy)

I'll probably call home, let the family know I'm alive and well, sleep in a bit, (it's my day off...I offered to work for folks w/families, but no takers!), I eat turkey year around, so it's not really a treat anymore...now cranberry sauce....yummy!  I stock up on it when it's on sale...it's great in apple pie!  Just mix it in with the cinnamon, apples and spices.....makes it nice and tasty!

Wishing everyone out there a good turkey day......screw the diets...eat, eat, eat!!!!!
