I chose cash. Something I love to do is pay for some strangers goods (a few dollars worth).Like if I go to a drive-thru I tell them this extra $5 is for the car behind me. At the grocery store I do the same thing depending on who is behind me, I love surprising an overwhelmed mother or an elderly person with an extra 5 or 10 towards their groceries.

I live in the mountains ...
my closest neighbor is over 2 miles from me … other neighbors are scattered about.
I always deliver a decorated gifty sort of box loaded up with holiday cookies and bread to everyone.
One neighbor is elderly … I do loads of errandy stuff for her anyway … help her with cleaning … sometimes do some cooking for her … check on her regularly …
For her I’ll do something extra … always do … not sure what yet.

I LOVE ALL the Holidays … and personally … it’s a Good Time for me to verbally shun the sad bastardization and commercialism … and DO what I personally feel is right.
